About

Accidental Artist

I have loved jewelry since I was a little girl playing with my mother’s jewels. However, my path to designing jewelry was not linear. I took up woodworking, screen-printing, and painting before finding my passion in jewelry. Ultimately, I found that designing jewelry perfectly embodies my love for geometry, color, pattern, and sculpture.

I often think about my pieces geometrically and use math to explore simple and delicate designs. I have also found that my Middle Eastern roots are infused into my aesthetic. Growing up in a house full of my mother’s paintings, sculptures, and collection of Middle Eastern ornaments gave me an appreciation for handmade goods and an inclination to create.

A lot comes into play to give dimension and spirit to my jewelry. It starts with a flash that leads to drafting a unique design, then selecting and combining gemstones that click into place. I continue with the meticulous yet meditating practice of making the jewelry. The best part is sharing it with others. Knowing that my jewelry brings joy, romance, or confidence to someone inspires me to create.

I work out of my home studio in Seattle, WA where you'll usually find me working, sipping tea, and singing along to my favorite tunes. When I'm not working, I love to explore the beautiful mountains, oceans and forests of the Pacific Northwest.
