About

Repurposing goods.

So, you want to know about Diengie? We are Diengie—heiDI, karEN and anGIE. We are two sisters and their mama, with God as our CEO. We strive to put Him first in all of our decisions…praying to seek His guidance for each and every one. It all started when we got the bright idea to start a business together. We had God-given talents. We were moms who wanted to be at home with our kids. We wanted to bring in an income. The question was: What could we do that would meet those requirements? Make bags? Sure! So, we came up with our name and found out diengie means two in an Indo-Pacific language! This number represents what Diengie is all about—designing second uses for discovered treasures. We use coffee bean burlap sacks and recycled/vintage fabrics in all of our products.

We want to grow a successful business. To become a household name. To see our bags carried by celebs. (Why not?) We see all that as a means to an end. Not the end goal. One day we believe our business will fund a ministry. Our dreams are big. Inner-city community center/Diengie headquarters and production. Our heart is with single moms and their kids. Job training, on-site daycare, good wages, cafeteria for lunches with their children, outreach programs…the list goes on and on. Sounds like a dream, huh? Yep! One we can’t wait to see become reality! We’re not sure what the road ahead looks like, but we believe it will happen.
