Photos - A reflection of our shared life's journeys and a mirror into our passions.

Every photo I take tells a story that I hope finds its way into a different part of each person's life history. I am drawn in by the beauty of my subjects and they always represent a piece of my heart. Your eyes look at them through a different lens, painted by the narrative of your own life. I believe that photos can connect our lives by the common strands of our experience. I have enjoyed photography and cataloged the passions of my life since I was 10 and received my first camera. I cannot imagine a hike, outing, special event or time with pets without my camera in one hand. The joy I get in taking the photos is matched only by the memories invoked in looking at the life journey reflected in the photos.

As I've shared the images, I've been amazed by how common our life's journeys are. I love hearing the stories that my photos invoke. The photo of ferns remind a friend of growing up near forests on the west coast. Photos of chickens appeal to the city dweller's dream of living in the country. Photos of our vegetable garden swirl with intentions met and the tangible feeling of digging in our own gardens, now and in our youth.

I spent a lot of time researching the mediums that I provide your prints on. I want them to be as unique as the photos themselves and provide just as much of a conversation starter in your home. Bamboo is sustainable and natural and earthy and elegant. Aluminum is unique and industrial and a hard edge to soft photos. It also enhances the saturation of the colors. Maple is rustic and the grain shows through in the light portions of a photo making each image a soft and rustic statement. The wrap around photo eliminates the need for a frame, providing a simplicity that echoes the simplicity of nature.
