A nice rip off. I downloaded my purchase. Completely useless as nothing can be read. The star rating should read as a -5.(Minus five stars)

About

Dirty Girl Designs

The name "Dirty Girl Designs" leads people to think that my items might be "naughty". Well, they're right. DGD has always had a goal of being naughty, or downright filthy. I like creating items for those in the BDSM, LGBT and other alternative lifestyles, but in a fun way that allows them to not take their lifestyle so seriously. So while I have plenty of "normal" or "pretty" items, don't be shocked to see my "adults only" picture on a listing, I'm a Dirty Girl for a reason.

I'm one of those people who has always crafted and created.

So what is it I do on Etsy? I adore vintage patterns, but I also am trying very hard not to be a clutter bug, so I find vintage patterns (1970 and earlier) and pass them along to others, which is why the vintage patterns section to my shop is huge! I strongly feel that patterns should be affordable so I try to keep my prices as low as possible.

My love of working with hot molten metals can be shared with the Etsy community very easily. I create magnets, charms, chess sets and occasionally free formed items that I've created using my own molds. I also love finding great old vintage molds and bringing back pieces that haven't been seen for years.

Resin! Boy, I LOVE resin. I love the clear look to it, the grace of items suspended in time forever. Rings, pendants, sculpture, I love doing them all. I learn more and more every time I create with resin.

It's shrink plastic though that I'm known for. Specifically rings. I have friends and family that have metal allergies but who love wearing rings, and experiments led me to create a very basic cuff style ring. I cut out various shapes, use rubber stamps, or lately, I use a computer and printer and vintage images to create fun, easily worn rings that can go on fingers and on toes. They are comfortable and fun and the colored ones really pop.

My latest experiments with shrink have led to me creating some great buttons, I use paintings, hand drawn images, or even photographs to create some very personal buttons in a 1" size. I plan on branching out into other sizes soon and even moving beyond shrink plastic buttons, I'm a button junkie! I create two styles of buttons, traditional with holes, and shank style.

My rings, which I concentrate on, are made with two methods.

The first, I draw on shrink plastic, shrink in an oven, and roll around a form.

My second method, I create sheets of rings, several at a time, using my own specially created template and computer images. I then print the sheet, slice the rings apart, trim and then shrink in the oven and curve.

Both methods then require that I treat the rings with special glaze to protect the design. Currently that is a resin based glaze.

I hope eventually to expand into cutting these using a Cameo cutter so I can do even more highly detailed rings. I also will be investing in a computer drawing pad and eliminating hand drawing onto the shrink plastic which currently is a tedious process thanks to constant smearing.

Keep watching me with shrink plastic, I've got some great ideas and out of all my mediums, this is truly my favorite.

I also own http://www.etsy.com/people/dirtygirldigital and http://www.etsy.com/people/dirtygirlcandies which are currently non operating shops.

My home and work area are smoke and pet free.

Refunds and Exchanges
Picture are from vintage prints, please be aware that the new print is only as good as the original. Refunds of damaged pictures requires that your order be returned and you will receive a replacement.

Fairies or other hand cast metal items that are broken can be sent back and replaced for the cost of shipping. This is good for up to one year after purchase.

Rings and other shrink plastic items are glaze protected, however this isn't a guarantee against things like swimming pools, lakes, showers and hot tubs, so please, remove your ring before exposing to water. White rings will get dirty, gently wipe with a damp cloth, do not use cleaners.

Other items such as listing from my "ephemera" section are bought "as is" and have no return or refund policy.

Sewing items, or custom sewn items have a no return no refund policy except in cases where the item is unwearable or unusable due to construction. Size issues are the buyers concern. Please contact for your item or ask before buying.

Additional policies and FAQs
For the photo services Dirty Girl Designs uses a high end dye sublimination process. This means that instead of the ink being printed on the paper as with ink and laser jets, the dyes are closer to those found in photo lab prints. Your pictures and postcards will not fade and will last several lifetimes. Only quality Canon products are used on each item and inks are refreshed often.

For metal casting items, be aware that some are lead based. I do seal very heavily using sealants meant for metal casting on these items. NONE of my metal figures are meant for children of for children's toys. They are decorative and adult use only.

I do try to use lead free metals 90% of the time and will notify on the listing that the item has a lead content. Please email me for info about the metals I use in my work if you have any concerns.
