I LOVE my order!! It's a small handmade, artifical gold colored Christmas Tree. I also purchased the miniature ornaments from the same Seller. The colors of the ornaments are very festive and shiny. Both the tree and ornaments are made of great quality. Nothing flimsy here! The Seller provided awesome customer service and I plan to order more trees from her for Christmas. Thank you so much!

I started making furniture and accessories for my Barbies when I couldn't find anything I liked in the stores. What I make depends on my mood at the time and what materials are available. When something speaks up and says it wants to be something else, like a bottle that wants to be a lamp, I try to help it achieve that goal.
I really love the early to middle twentieth century, and focus on art deco and midcentury modern styles and that 1950's Early American look (like Lucy's living room after they moved to the country). I'll also occasionally do something from the '70's, because those who can't remember the past are condemned to repeat it, and orange shag carpeting cannot be allowed to infest our homes again.
I mainly work in 1/6 scale, but sometimes I make things for Gene (15 1/2 inches, or roughly 1/4 scale, which also works for Tyler) or for standard miniature (1/12) scale. If I list an item that you'd like in a different size, let me know and I'll see if I can do it.
Because of small parts, distant planet's items are not suitable for small children.

Shipping

Why I don't offer free shipping: I know what it means to have a limited budget and not be able to afford the little things that bring joy to your life, so I have always tried to keep my prices reasonable. I only charge what it actually costs to ship an item; any extra will be refunded. I use the least expensive shipping method possible; still, the shipping cost is often greater than my profit on an item. Therefore, truly free shipping would put me out of business.
In order to offer "free" shipping, I would have to build that cost into the price of the item. For one item, it would make no difference; but as you buy additional items, you would be paying shipping on each one, with no way to refund it. For example, if you buy one box of Christmas tree ornaments for $8 and pay $3.80 for shipping, your total would be $11.80. If you buy three boxes, they will all fit in the same shipping box and they weigh next to nothing, so there would be little if any increase in the shipping cost. You would pay $8+8+8+3.80, or $27.80. If I changed my pricing to allow "free" shipping, you would pay $11.80+11.80+11.80, or $35.40. While that would be extra money in my pocket, I know a lot of people just can't pay that much, especially for knick-knacks you can get by without.
When you buy my handmade items, know that you are getting the very best price I can offer you- enough to cover my costs, plus something less than minimum wage for the time involved in making it. And when you see "free shipping", remember that unless you drive over here and pick it up yourself, it's never really free!

Additional policies and FAQs

I generally only make one or two of something at a time, so they don't get dusty, scuffed, or crushed sitting around in storage. I will list as many as I have materials on hand to make. Items will be made to order as my work schedule allows. That's why so many things show a shipping time of up to two weeks. Hopefully it won't take that long to get your order out, but it might- but at least your aluminum tree won't be all dried out and wilted!
