About

A Night in Clay....

I took my first pottery class in 1995 and fell in love with the idea of being able to sit down at a pottery wheel and create something beautiful out of a lump of clay. Because of numerous life events and having two teenage daughters that needed my attention at the time, I covered my pottery wheel and decided to wait until my daughters were older and things calmed down before returning to my passion for clay. I knew that I wanted pottery in my future, but wasn't sure how I was going to sell my work. I was working full-time and didn't have time for shows, that is when I found Etsy. I opened my shop in 2007 and it turned out to be the perfect solution. All of my pottery is made by using the pottery wheel, slab roller, extruder and of course the kiln for firing.
I have had my hands in clay four nights a week since 2006, with a simple mission of making beautiful and functional pottery for the home and garden. I use a variety of techniques to create my work. Wheel throwing and hand building are just a few. I also use various decorating techniques, some simple and others more time consuming and complex. My goal is to make pottery that is pleasing to the eye, but affordable enough for everyday use.

I am a wife, mother of two beautiful daughters and a nana to three handsome little boys and one beautiful little girl. I love working with clay and love working with a lot of different colors, which you can see in my shop.
