Little by Little . . .

Thirty years ago I was doing doll repair, which led into making cloth dolls to sell, which led to making porcelain dolls and teaching classes. Eventually, I got very sick and had to let all that go. Later, I ended up a single parent of my last two children at home and needed some extra income. My mom and dad, who were retired antique dealers, had gone to selling vintage jewelry online, and suggested it for me. Little by little, I started accumulating vintage items to sell.

I try hard to live by the Golden Rule, and in so doing, I really try to put myself out in my life and in my work. I include lots of pictures to try to give the best online experience I can offer.

I hope my prices are fair. However, if you think I am a little out of line on the price of an item, please convo me. I am not necessarily unwilling to budge. Even if you feel a price is fair but just can't afford it, I may be able to work with you. And if you are considering purchasing multiple items, I will most likely be happy to give you a discount.

Payment
My preferred methods of payment are direct checkout and Paypal. I will accept cash for local pickup items. If you want to purchase an item but have to wait for a paycheck or something, I am usually willing to reserve an item temporarily.
Shipping
I will be happy to do free local pickup for any items, especially larger items.

Furniture items to large to ship USPS will be listed for local pickup only. I will be happy to consider shipping options outside the local area if a buyer sends my their zip code. Because shipping on furniture can be very expensive and because credit card payments may be difficult to refund, I will attach a high shipping cost to all furniture items and remove or adjust the shipping once I am contacted by a local buyer or a buyer who has supplied their zip code and approves shipping costs.

I make every effort to ship within 1-2 business days.

I will generally insure an item only if buyer requests it, and buyer pays for the insurance.

Most often my shipping is at or even a little below actual cost of postage, but for those times that I make a dollar or so on postage, it goes toward packaging expenses. If I ever miscalculate shipping by more than a dollar or so in my favor, I will be happy to refund the difference.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refund of purchase price only, within 14 days. Please notify me first if an item is being returned, and please WAIT FOR A REPLY from me before returning item. Occasionally I can come up with a solution that means less or no return shipping for the buyer. Thanks!

I generally prefer not to ship internationally, but if you want me to check on international shipping for a particular item, I may be willing to do so.
