handmade sterling silver jewelry, inspired by nature

i started spending all my allowance at the bead store when i was 13. once a huge fan of seed bead friendship necklaces, my tastes and skills have changed since then, but not my love of stones and metal.

now i make everything in my sunny southern california studio {the soldering and hammering happen in the windowless garage, but i keep the door open}, often with at least one dog at my feet. my inspiration comes most frequently from nature {which is why i use recycled sterling silver whenever i can}, favorite color combos in nature, or even the stones i use. i try to set each stone in simple arrangements, paring down each piece to the bare essentials so that they really shine.

and i'm a stickler for detail, so whether i'm choosing a stone, soldering a sterling band, or wrapping a package for mailing, you can be sure that your order is getting my full attention. i design pieces to stand the test of time and i fabricate them so that they will.

it's a one woman show around here, so if you have any questions, send me a convo or an email {}. i'll be happy to answer questions, customize an existing piece, or create a one of a kind work of art for yourself or someone special.

i started making jewelry ages ago, spending all of my allowance on beads at the local bead store. now the jewelry is more grown up, but the concept is the same: all of the jewelry that you see here was designed & handmade by me. i hand select beads and high quality sterling silver {always lead and nickel free} for my pieces.

please contact me with any questions, to arrange for multiple pieces {like for a wedding party or group gifts} or if you'd like to have a custom piece designed especially for you or someone you love. if you see a piece that you love but want to change the stone, change the length of a necklace, or have gold-fill instead of sterling silver, let me know. just start a conversation with me or visit my website at

i want you to cherish each piece of jewelry from dogwood & poppy!

Returns and exchanges
my main goal is that you won't have any regrets with a purchase from dogwood & poppy. i make every effort to create quality items, represent them accurately with photos and descriptions, and get them to you in the same condition that they left my studio. but no one's perfect and sometimes bad things happen, so please let me know as soon as you get your item(s) if you're not happy. as confident as i am in my work, i'm even more sure that we can work it out.

if an item is damaged or lost during shipment, you will receive a refund or replacement (as available). please contact me as soon as you receive your item(s) if any damage or loss occurs.

i stand by my jewelry: if your item breaks, i'll fix it for free. just gather up all the pieces, send them to me, and i'll get to work. i'll even cover the return postage.
dogwood & poppy accepts direct checkout and paypal. your item(s) will ship upon receipt of payment. unless otherwise stated, everything listed is ready to ship.
i'm pretty picky about my jewelry arriving in the same condition it leaves my studio, so i use priority mail with the postal service for almost all of my items. it means i can ship every day but sunday and you can track your package. there are a few {small, flat} things that ship first class to help keep the price down.

regardless of how it ships, each piece of jewelry is always gift wrapped and carefully packaged so that it will make the journey safe and sound. i've even designed my handmade boxes so that they fit perfectly within the small flat rate boxes: no shifting or jiggling. {and i hope you'll reuse the pretty paper box!}

you should have your item in your hands within 3-4 business days after i receive payment {with the exception of first class shipments, those will take 5-7 days}. if you need your purchase faster, please let me know. if you would prefer to ship with another carrier, i will be happy to arrange for that, as well.

dogwood & poppy is dedicated to reducing waste whenever possible, so no invoices are included in packages. if you want one, please let me know and i'll be happy to put one in.
