This is a review for Victory's Parlor dolls house. I LOVE it! As a fan of Victoriana it is perfect for me. It is so unique and special- I've never seen anything like it! You are so talented Dana, you really are. I think you should make more Victorian style dolls houses like these. I am impressed how you could cut out the people and all the little details so neatly- I always find that difficult for small and intricate cut outs. It is so beautifully made- all the trimmings, the chandelier, wall ornaments and pink rose. The colours are absolutely stunning. it looks gorgeous on my bookcase next to the Old House. Little Barnabas might time travel to the 1850s and visit Victory's Parlor...

Little Barnabas is ADORABLE! I LOVE him. He's very cute with his pink mouth ready for a fanging. As for The Old House itself- wow- it looks even more stunning than the photos convey. The chandelier is so sparkly, and the mirror is beautiful. Barnabas's chest of drawers is perfect as is his stool and Josette's music box. The background is visually stunning, giving a feeling of depth, and it's so expertly detailed- it looks just like the Old House in Dark Shadows. I love the trimmings and the "wallpaper" also- they are so pretty. The "exterior" of The Old House is beautiful and atmospheric. During the day I turn the Old House round to the exterior whilst Barnabas sleeps in the coffin I got for him... Thank you so much Dana- you are a very talented artist. I will always treasure Little Barnabas in his Old House.
Dolls and Magic*
You can keep-up with The Magic Shoppe, here:)
I didn't start out selling my art, but folks would hound me, and after awhile, being quite crafty and prolific, it piles up. I'm not a hoarder. I always did like sharing and trading... Each time I sell Art, (big or small), I get All Excited! It's not like I make any kind of living off of my work, so when You buy it, I'm inspired to create more. I Really Love All of my Patrons; they are the most interesting people. Although I'm really an English teacher, I did get to teach Art too... So it began. I'm currently in the process of converting all of my books I've written into self published comics. I've also self published my Tarot cards. I'm pretty excited about all of that. I'm obsessive by nature, and I know it shows in my art work. Most of the paintings I list here are original, as I'm not much for prints. The dolls are all handmade, one of a kind too. I do not use molds or much else than a needle for a tool. I'm pretty old-fashioned. I love Premo!, polymer clay, and I hand sew too. Being a spiritualist I think handmade reflects time, love, and magic lost to a world where folks shop at God forsaken places for a load of crap. I try to use all American materials in my craftsmanship, but occasionally you will see something Italian or German, but I only use good stuff; what's the use of something American made, using cheap crappy material? My paper, brushes, paints, pencils, clay, and wool are all American made. I have too much fun looking at all the wonders on Etsy. Crafty as I can be, I can neither knit nor crochet. I love knits and wood carving. Crystals and stones fascinate me too. Magic rocks are another thing that I've been into as long as I can remember. I have a lot of fun with my new magic jewelry line. New to this, I make things to test out for myself first, witch' is pretty gratifying. Usually when I get some stones or beads for myself I have some left over, so make some to sell. This, supports my bead habit. I like antique buttons too! I do also sell a lot of jewelry in both my Cafe Press and ZAZZLE shops, (both dollsandmagic). Links can be found in the shoppe stop via my website. Thanks! Art trades are Awesome.
The latest thing is the addition of The Attic. Over the years I've collected various wondrous antiques, vintage book finds, and treasures, witch' I've finally decided to share now too. I'm of the opinion that you can have too many dolls and books, just like you can be too rich or too thin.
I am working on a couple of new and exciting ideas at the moment...
And, finally, no, you do not have the right to copy and sell my work, yourself. Sorry, but some people seem to think that they can. Another thing that bothers me is people who watermark work that is not their own.

I grew up in Pittsburgh and have been painting, writing, and making dolls ever since. I graduated from Slippery Rock and Chatham College. I was a Literature major.
Antonia Marie Valentina and Little Pearl
Antonia is my daughter and the best Valentine ever. I was being such a brat that day too. She's an antique Kestner. Little Pearl is a rare brown eyed German china head, circa 1840 in her original dress.
