5 out of 5 starsI bought this little doll for my daughter for a Christmas present. She is going to love it. I wish I would have bought one for myself as well

5 out of 5 starsBought this guy to be a companion to one of my dystopian dolls. He is so much better than I hoped and I would buy from Marca again. There are so many things in her shop I'm craving..

5 out of 5 starsI purchased the porcupine option and he is a wonderful glory of grey fur and an adorable face. He is exactly what I wanted and I was able to chose his eye color.

5 out of 5 starsThis figure is absolutely beautiful, just as everything I've ever ordered from Marca has been. She is a true artist and one of my favorite sellers on etsy that I keep coming back to. Thank you, Marca!

5 out of 5 starsJust loved my chiwawa necklace, so cute. Dressed in a pretty blue dress is adorable, even though my baby chiwawa is a tiny boy chiwaw. Thank you for making such cute item.

About dollsbymarca
Modern day Geppetto
I got the love for unusual characters and figures from my mother who also showed me the basics of how to sculpt. I started creating figures out of clay and paper mache since I was a young teen. The moment where it all happened (as I am going to dedicate myself to this) was after I watched the movie the "Labyrinth" with David Bowie. I became fascinated by the look of the outlandish creatures and it certainly made a click in my soul. Much later in my life and already a doll maker by profession, I was asked to join a freelance studio that built prototypes for major toy companies as well as props for movies. This experience really helped define my style as well as improved the look and finish of my work greatly.
I prefer sculpting cartoonish exagerated features that even though they are familiar they are far from being real. My style is friendly and edgy at the same time, a definite intention is to give you the sense that my pieces have a brain and a strong personality, and in the very least they will make you feel, and hopefully crack a smile :-)
I make my work for those who share a love for the unique, that also like to surround themselves with objects that will help them remember stories of happy times, and that will spark their compassion and empathy. My pieces are a celebration of how cool it is to be out of the box and free.
I have been self employed doing what I love for over 20 years, all thanks to the people who connect with my pieces and that have helped me fuel the drive to be better and make the most of what I can give.
Thanks for being here and reading this!
