The spools/bobbins I received are wonderful-different kinds and shapes, most with fiber still wrapped on them. Such an interesting piece of textile history! Love the little spook with label still intact! Shipping was quick and the order was beautifully packaged! Thank you!

They really knew the way to a girl's heart 100 years ago. This candy tin held 1 1/2 pounds of chocolate and even converted to a candy dish.

About

Here's how it all started:

I had dreams of only selling handmade cards and tags on Etsy.
For several years, I had been volunteering with a group called OPERATION WRITE HOME. We created blank handmade greeting cards at no charge to our servicemen and women overseas so that they always had beautiful cards to send back home to their loved ones (no Hallmark stores in the desert!) Out of the 3 million cards sent, over 2,000
were made by me, a fact of which I am very proud.

This was originally a little Etsy shop selling larger, more luxe versions of my OWH cards. The thought was to help pay for card supplies, which can really snowball, being a lover of handmade papers, embossing guns, die-cut machines, cutters, trimmers, embellishments, ribbons and assorted other doo-dads.

After a very slow year of sales (and to be fair, of neglectful shopkeeping), I made the switch over to vintage, with an emphasis on the 1930's to midcentury.

Hallelujah- I found a niche with my beloved vintage bedspreads, cool vintage threads and vintage home decor accents. I've worked hard, and my shop has gotten busy, thanks to my Etsy customers all over the country and the world.

Thank you for allowing me to have so much fun, sharing my favorite things with you.

I use USPS for shipping. On unwieldy or very heavy items, I use UPS. Either way, I make every effort to get your purchase to you safely and as promptly as possible.
Cross my heart.
Refunds and Exchanges
If you have a problem, get in touch with me - customer service is part of my real-life job, and you deserve to be happy.
I don't sell anything on donnapaperscissors that I'm not proud of, so when you buy from me, expect full disclosure and total honesty on vintage condition and the item(s) you are buying. Please check my reviews to read what my customers have to say, but remember that vintage items have been around for awhile, and although I only stock beautiful pieces, they aren't spanking new off the assembly line in some factory.
As for shipping, if USPS tracking reports show that your item has been delivered to you, it is out of my hands and you need to deal with your local post office so that they can hunt it down.
Should you decide to return an item, I will refund up to 14 days of my receiving it, provided it is in original condition. For clothing, this means no smoke, pet or perfume odors or signs of having been worn.
I haven't had many returns so I must be doing something right!
Additional policies and FAQs
About vintage:
Most of the pieces in my shop are 25-75 years old, and while I only show items that are in excellent condition, please do bear in mind that these treasures are older than we are. I hope we all look that good someday. If there is an issue, I will mention it in my descriptive copy.

About Shipping Costs:
If I've overestimated your shipping costs by an outrageous amount, I'll refund the difference via check in the package or PayPal. Please do remember, though, that we all spend lots of money on shipping supplies (tape, boxes, tissue, bubble wrap, labels) and my much of my vintage items come in organza storage/gift bags with handmade gift tags.
