Announcement   Can you believe summer vacation is almost over and school is starting soon. Check out my 3 new teacher totes. great for carrying back to school.

Special orders are one of the things that make shopping on ETSY fun, and fun for shop owners too. When the fabric is in stock I can complete most special orders in 3-4 days, if I have to order fabric it's another story but I'll do my best.

As you look at the listings pay special attention to the detailed stitching. I take pride in the quality of all items. The pictures are there to show you the "usability" of all the bags so please scroll through the pictures.

All products are in stock and ready to ship with the exception of special orders. I will ship to you, USPS mail, within 1 business day of receiving the order. Special Orders should be ready to ship in 48-72 hours. Thank you ahead of time for visiting my shop.

All the bags are created from original designs in my smoke-free and pet-free home. Why settle for mass produced in China when you can have custom made, for less and proudly made in the USA.

Each bag is individually created by Donna. I pay special attention to details like top stitching, cross stitching the tops of pockets to ensure they cannot come loose, quilting, and adding extra rows of stitching to the padded straps to give you a bag that will last for years. Each strap is sewn into the bag at least 7 times. In fact, I will replace any bag, no matter how old, if the strap ever comes loose (under normal wear and tear please -- no scissors allowed!)

Using only the highest quality cotton fabrics from some of the best manufactures such as: Robert Kaufman, Moda, Timesless Treasures, Loralie Designs, Northcott, and Hoffman -- you get the idea, ensures a high-quality finished product.
I am happy to customize items for our customers.

About

Donna's Boring Sewing Past and Exciting Future

I learned to sew as a child on my grandma's treadle sewing machine, boy do I wish I had that machine now. In high school I made all my clothes, then got married and had children, 1 girl and 3 boys. I made some pretty tacky shorts for the boys when they were young. When I went back to work in 1978 I had little time for sewing and it went by the wayside.

In 1988 I had brain surgery and was off work for 6 months. My mother had taken a quilting class and taught me to quilt - hand piecing and hand quilting. That helped me through the rough times. After I went back to work I continued to quilt, it became my stress reliever.

I retired in 2003, and in 2010 wanted a new sewing machine. My daughter had seen girls at her work carrying Vera Bradley bags and suggested I try making bags. I built my business doing craft shows, up to 20 a year and kept pretty busy.

In 2016 my husband was diagnosed with cancer and craft shows became difficult to do. I am saddened to say that my husband, best friend, and sewing partner died on May 17, 2018 after a long battle with cancer.

Even though I had been on ETSY since 2008 it was 2017, as his health failed, when I seriously began building my ETSY shop. I have seen a wonderful increase in sales since then with many great customer reviews. Thanks you for visiting!!
