Announcement    NOTE: I live in a very small town with my post office only 3 miles away....so...YES, I'M STILL SHIPPING through this challenge we are experiencing in the world!! However, I'm limiting shipping to Tuesdays and Fridays until further notice.

Hi EVERYONE...welcome to my shop AND HAPPY 2020!!!

As of July 30th, 2019, I am now offering FREE SHIPPING on any order of $35.00 shipped to anywhere in the continental United States. Think ahead for gifts for any occasion!

I have 45 years of Quilting and 55 years of sewing experience! Quilting is my PASSION! AND....I FINALLY RETIRED IN DECEMBER 2016.....YEAAAA!!!! So, I am now spending 40+ hours or more per week at my sewing machine making all of the fun items you see in my smoke free shop,

I take great pride in creating high quality, hand made quilts and the other items seen in my shop and I take pleasure in learning new techniques to add to my experience. I'm proud to say that in 2018, I expanded my sewing and quilting experience by adding a "men's tie" wall quilt and two t-shirt quilts to my ever growing expertise. In 2019, I created a custom heirloom little girl's smocked dresses queen quilt for a customer in California. It was quite a challenge and thankfully, the customer loves it.

I LOVE to take "custom" orders and will do my best to find the fabric that you request but please understand that sometimes the fabric is not available. PLEASE NOTE: All custom orders must be paid for in advance.

I use the highest quality, 100% cotton quilt shop quality fabrics and Hobbs Heirloom 80% cotton/20% polyester batting to ensure your purchase will be enjoyed for generations to come.

When I make a quilt, I do not decide on what quilt stitches or pattern I'm going to quilt it with until I have the top finished and it is layered together with the batting and backing. I then treat each quilt as "individuals" and let the design "speak to me". I know that sounds silly, but this way, each of my quilts is different than the last.

I enlist my husband's help from time to time with the following processes:
***Colors and fabric choices: He has a great "eye" for color and pattern choices
***He helps lay out and pin the three layers of quilts together to quilt.
***He helps to pin pieces together and trims threads on many of my items when they are completed.

I also sell my items at a few local Art & Craft shows. Following are the four shows in 2020. DUE TO COVID19 Tulip Time and Holland Art in the Park HAVE BEEN CANCELLED. As of July 1st, the Saugatuck show is still on, however, I believe at this point that I'm choosing not to participate due to the impossibility to social distance.

May 4 & 5: Tulip Time Art & Craft show in Centennial Park, Holland, Michigan (Cancelled due to the Corona virus.
July 27: Saugatuck, Michigan Art & Craft Show
August 3: Art in the Park, Centennial Park, Holland, Michigan
September 21: Cody Kresta Winery Art Event, Mattawan, Michigan

I ship ANYWHERE in the world! Please contact me for a shipping cost if you live outside of the continental United States. I ship Monday-Saturday, so most orders will normally ship within 48 hours of receiving payment. All orders will be shipped USPS.

I do my best to try to save the planet so I RECYCLE bags and boxes whenever possible, I will ship your item/s in used (good condition, of course) bags, inside of the box or envelope...it's just a little something we can all do to "stay green" and help our environment ! :>)

Thank you for visiting my shop and HAPPY 2019!

How Donna's Quilt Creations began....

This is where it all began.....In 2008, I was helping my daughter sell her greeting cards at a local craft show when it dawned on me that I too could make things to sell. Of course, I immediately thought of my life long love of quilting; having made my first quilt when I was 14 years old. Eleven years later, my shop has continued to grow and be successful.

I have 40 years of Quilting and 55 years of sewing experience! Quilting is my PASSION! My home studio is where I personally make my quilts and all items you see in my Etsy Shop. I use the highest quality, 100% cotton quilt shop quality fabrics to ensure your purchase will be enjoyed for many years to come and can become "heirloom" pieces to pass down from generation to generation. I exclusively use Hobbs Heirloom 80 % cotton/20% polyester batting in my quilts, wall hangings, Christmas Tree Skirts, place mats, snack mats and some table runners.

I take great pride in the "detail" of and the amount of quilting I work into each quilt and wall hanging. I like to think the fabric "speaks to me" or tells me what the quilting should be. I will never complete a quilt or wall hanging with an overall meandering stitch. I also continue to expand my knowledge and expertise by making new and exciting pieces. I'm now well versed in T-Shirt / Memory quilts, men's tie quilts and more.

My husband helps me from time to time with the following processes:
***Colors and fabric choices: He has a great "eye" for color and pattern choices
***He helps lay out the three layers of larger quilts, reducing the time involved
***He trims threads on many of my items when they are completed
***He helps pin sections together for table toppers and tree skirts

I also sell my all items listed in my shop at four local Arts and Craft shows each year. So, if you are in southwest Michigan, maybe I can meet you in person at one of the shows.

Additional policies and FAQs
I participate in 4 - 5 Art Shows each year therefore, there is a very slight chance that the item you have chosen may have sold the same day you purchased it. If this happens and I have (or can find) the exact same fabric, I will reproduce the same item for you. However, if I do not have or cannot find the same fabric, I will be happy to make one in the same pattern with a fabric of your choice! Always feel free to contact me with questions.

If I am doing a show, I will try to remember to put my shop "On Vacation" for the day/s I'm away to help prevent the scenario above from occurring!!
