5 out of 5 starsOh this is such a perfect item. The bufana poem is wonderful and since I send the grandchildren candy from the Bufana, they were thrilled last year but this year I'll include the beautiful poem. Wonderful construction and just absolutely perfect. Thanks.

A quieter and more precise method of pulp painting is by using a hand held pump sprayer.
Paper inspires me.
It's only a short time since I graduated with my MFA in Book and Paper Arts from Columbia College Chicago and my practice is still developing. One thing I know for certain is that paper is the medium which will continue to define my art-making.
Since the first time I dipped my hands into a vat of paper pulp I was hooked. It is a truly visceral experience... the smell of freshly pulped plant material, the sound of the water splashing and spraying, the feel of the chilly water numbing my fingers. I love to create paper for its own sake, but I also like to use it as a medium for printing, or to transform it into a 3-dimensional work of art.
In my shop you will find works of handmade paper, some created wholly from paper, such as pulp paintings. Other times I print onto the handmade sheets. Other cards and prints are created on fine art paper, especially the recycled and colorful papers created by the family-run French Paper Company.
My art is inspired by stories, my travels, or whatever my imagination feels like conjuring on a particular day. I hope you will find something that catches your eye or fires your own imagination.
