I design and hand sew these retro inspired flowers. Each one is unique. I collect vintage buttons from the 1930s and 1940s and use them for many of the flower centers. Picking out the perfect button for each flower is my favorite part.
I really care that these items will last for you, so I take time to make sure they are securely constructed.

Designing and sewing fabric flowers for you to wear or give, since 2010.
After working for a long stretch in digital media, I longed to work with my hands again. I started creating crafts for Christmas gifts and enjoyed it so much that I wanted to keep working with my hands.
I took a class on making ribbon flowers and found I just loved working with the fabric and hand sewing. When I was a kid I used to sew simple dresses for my dolls out of felt and snaps.
I look to traditional crafts for technique, then I like to put a vintage/modern spin on the design.
I'm inspired by my materials and, of course, by the flowers I see in nature. I love ribbons, felt, silks, cottons and especially vintage buttons.

I've always been involved in the arts in some way. I started out in Fine Arts, but I got my degree in Illustration. I have illustrated many books, especially cookbooks. I enjoy working with fabrics and hand sewing.
