Announcement   Etegami is a Japanese folk art that combines simple hand-painted images with thoughtful words on Japanese washi postcards. Most of the time I use the traditional sumi ink, gansai water-soluble paints, and writing brushes, but sometimes I use not-so-traditional materials and methods. Message me if you want to place a custom order.

LOVE Debbie's book and purchased it as part of a kit for a raffle at Japan Festival Houston. Debbie's clear instructions and clever etegami paintings make for a fantastic book!

About

I am an Etegami artist and translator based in Hokkaido, Japan, where I've lived since birth. Etegami is a Japanese folk art that combines painted images with thoughtful words on washi paper-- most often washi postcards. It has been an important part of my life for decades and I am passionate about it. I hope you get bitten by the etegami bug too.

To learn about the tradition of Etegami, please visit my blog at http://etegamibydosankodebbie.blogspot.com; To find my other online shops, blogs, my Twitter, Flickr, and Pinterest links, as well as newspaper and magazine articles about my work, just google "dosankodebbie."

I try to treat my customers the way I myself would like to be treated as a customer. That means that I get your order to you as fast as possible, and will do my sincere best to make things right if there is a problem with your order. I ship all items by air mail small packet from Japan. (rare exception mentioned under shipping policy)

Accepted payment methods

Payment
If you want to cancel an order, you must do so within the one or two hours before order processing begins.
Shipping
Tracking numbers are not offered on international first class or parcel post airmail. I can tell you how many days it will probably take for your order to reach you, based on experience. In the highly unlikely case that your order fails to reach the shipping address within a reasonable amount of time, we can discuss a replacement order or refund.

On very rare occasions, depending on a combinations of factors (that includes, but is not limited to, weight of package, shipping destination and total cost of order), I may ship an order by Express Mail Service. EMS has tracking numbers. If being able to track your order is very important to you, you may want to accept the higher shipping charges or make a bulk purchase that would cover the higher shipping charges. Please discuss this option with me BEFORE you make your purchase.
Refunds and Exchanges
Refunds are offered in the unlkely case your order has been damaged en route or failed to reach the shipping address.
Additional policies and FAQs
BULK ORDERS of Original Etegami (5 or more) come with perks such as track-able priority shipping, discounts, or freebies. Details will vary with content of order. Please feel free to ask about this when you've decided what you want to buy, but BEFORE you check out. Perks are usually difficult to add after you have already completed the transaction. Perks do not apply to prints or supplies-- only original etegami.
