5 out of 5 starsThis is a great tutorial. I can barely sew, but following the directions very carefully I have managed to sew arms, legs and a torso so far. Its great if you are not an artist, have little ability, but really yearn to actually produce fun art!

5 out of 5 starsAbsolutely amazing patterns. I never thought that i had the capability of been able to create something like this, but the instructions are so well written that even a novice like myself can do it. The seller has been very helpful and kind. I would not hesitate to purchase from this seller again 10/10 Happy customer.....Thank you

My Anthropomorphic Impulse, Etsy-fied.
Sculpting and drawing as a pre-schooler and sewing as a pre-teen; I've been selling my figures for over 20 years, pre-Etsy. At the heart of my daily practice is an abiding sense of sustainability; a commitment to using only organic materials such as earthenware clays and beeswax. Likewise, vintage apparel and linens beyond restoration are the mainstay of my fabric stash. Most of my costumes give new life to the work-a-day clothes of the last century. Every component of a piece informs my process, and often a nuance of personality will arise out of the remnant itself; my subtler way of doting on the planet and on the palpably silent past of so many storied objects.
Last year, I celebrated the 25th anniversary of my induction as an artist member into the National Institute of American Doll Artists, and in a few short months, I will be celebrating my 12th "Etsyversary" on this amazing platform. Both are associations of which I am very proud, professionally, and for which I am very grateful, personally. I could never have imagined how being a part of each group would enrich my creative life, and now, as we begin to test the fickle whims of COVID-19 and all its global variants, I want to encourage everyone who stops by my little Etsy shop to stay safe, and --if you NEED to stay home-- STAY CREATIVE! (And if I can help you with that, I am honored and grateful for your custom.)

Shipping
International orders ship via USPS with their required Customs Form (which doubles as a tracking number according to my local postmaster). --And please: do not ask me to contact you outside of Etsy for 'your private carrier' arrangements. It won't happen.
I now ship in-stock items on Tuesdays and Fridays, unless working against a special deadline that has been prearranged via convo, and turnaround time on custom items is individually based on project complexity, which will be agreed upon by us via convo before i begin.
