Organic cotton and felt crown and drool bib
I love to draw and make things for the little ones in my life.
I went to school for fashion design and made custom clothing after graduation. I've always enjoyed making little gifts for friends and family and ended up spending a lot of my time working on those. After my first niece was born I designed a little snack pouch for her so she could eat her cheerios in the car and it would sit like a little cup on her lap. After a friend saw it she said I should definitely sell those on Etsy and thats how my shop began! Many, many snack pouches later I continue to love designing practical, reusable, eco-friendly products that make great gifts!

Hello, my name is Amy and I make baby goods and housewares. Keeping the environment in mind I enjoy using organic fabrics and recycled packaging. I do all this in a little studio in San Francisco, California.
Shop policies
I design, cut, print, sew and package everything
in my shop in a little studio in San Francisco, California.
Printing:
I do all the silk-screening in my studio
using water based inks.
All of the prints are from my own
original illustrations.
Since I do all the silk-screening by hand
not all prints come out exactly the same.
Washing instructions:
I recommend washing in cold and hang to dry
for the goodness of your item and the goodness
of the earth. The snack pouches are easy to wash
by hand. I wash mine while I'm doing my dishes and
hang it on the line to dry. They are also fine to throw
in the wash. You can also throw the bibs and burp cloths
in the washer and dryer. Possible 5-10% shrinkage may occur.
With water-based inks hot water and drying them on high
will fade the prints faster than if washed with cold water
and hung dry.
Fabric:
All fabric is washed in natural phosphate free
laundry detergent and dried before sewn.
I prefer to use only natural fabrics
but for the snack pouches I offer an option of
a polyurethane coated nylon for the lining.
I have done a lot of research on the topic
of fabric and food safety and what i've learned
is that this nylon is safe, PUL (polyurethane laminate) is not.
The coated side is the underside so it has no direct contact with food.
It still bothers me a little purchasing a non biodegradable synthetic fabric so
I also offer an organic cotton/hemp option for the lining (which is not water-proof).
Please note that with the recycled hemp/organic cotton
fabric the colour is slightly different with each batch because
it is recycled, it also has a bit of a wrinkled look.
Packaging:
I use mostly recycled paper products with
my packaging. Packaging is something that
I think a lot about and I try to encourage
customers to reuse my wrapping, gift bags
and envelopes. If you are a return customer
and don't need hang tags please let me know and I won't include them.
Others:
I use stock photos in my shop so you won't
receive the exact one I used in the photograph but one very similar.
Please remember that colours may appear slightly different
on different monitors. If you have a question about the colour of a print or fabric
just let me know.
