Awesome apron. Will be perfect for when I cook during hunting season at our hunting lodge! I was very impressed with the beautiful packaging and handwritten note that came with it.

About

My Story

One summer, when I was a young girl, I mowed lawns with my dad because I wanted to buy a sewing machine so I could learn how to sew.

I did it.

One of the most rewarding moments of my life was walking into that sewing machine shop with cash, and walking out with my very own sewing machine that I had worked so hard for. I began to teach myself how to sew and had some sewing lessons with a friend.

I have never looked back.

A couple years ago, I designed a sewing pattern to make an apron for myself. After I made the apron, I absolutely fell in love with it. I made one for my mom and some friends, one of whom commented, “...I LOVE my apron! It is so cute and it brightens my day to wear it. I am truly impressed with the quality of your work – you could have an Etsy shop selling such good work!” Thus my Etsy shop, Down Home Shop, was born.

A couple years ago I read a book called, Kisses From Katie by Katie Davis. It was SO good! I knew that whatever business I started in the future, I wanted to give proceeds to Katie. So $10 of each apron will go to www.Amazima.org – an organization dedicated to feeding, educating, and encouraging the orphaned, poor, and vulnerable in the country of Uganda.

Every apron is handmade by me with special attention to detail every step of the way.

It is my goal that every one of my customers is satisfied. If for any reason you are ever dissatisfied with your purchase please convo me, and I will do my best to resolve the issue. If you ever have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate and drop me a line! I would love to hear from you.

Thanks for stopping by my shop and have a wonderfully beautiful day!

Every apron is unique

All of my items are handcrafted with lots of love and care, so there will be minor differences between every apron. Note that the measurements I have given in the descriptions may vary slightly as well. Please embrace these unique distinctions as part of the hand work I put in it.
