♥ VINTAGE PATTERN LOVERS:
Update: THIS SHOP IS NOW CLOSING. IF YOU HAVE FAVORITED AN ITEM AND WANT TO PURCHASE, PLEASE CONTACT ME, AND I WILL RENEW THAT ONE ITEM. Thank you for all your support over the years. I have loved selling on Etsy.
Some things to note about the listings. Patterns are grouped by decade and size with at least 4 patterns in each bundle. If you see a pattern in a different bundle that you would like to swap, please convo me and I will work with you. At this point, the prices listed are as low as I'm going. There will be some individual patterns that will not be bundled either because of their type (i.e., wedding dresses) or their value. ♥

A look at my own sewing studio
The Evolution of a Shop
I opened my shop in January of 2008, initially planning to sew small items and help my mother sell her baby quilts. After a slow start, things did begin to pick up, especially with a pattern design for a crafter's market apron. As a shop owner, however, I have the misfortune of having what I like to call "crafting ADD" and simply cannot sustain making the same thing over and over. But I do love to sew, so what to do?
First, Down the Street Creations became a sort of "destash" shop with a side of vintage buttons and jewelry, and sewing notions. I started another shop, Jenna Belle Designs, where I moved the baby quilts, and concentrated on making custom monogrammed bridal clutches.
Then, just when circumstances in my life meant custom orders couldn't get the attention they deserved, I came across a stash of vintage sewing patterns at an estate sale, and found a way to share my love of sewing.
As a seamstress myself, I understand the need for your pattern to be complete, and each pattern is thoroughly checked, and lovingly packaged. I pride myself on my fast service and excellent communication with my customers, and I use biodegradable shipping envelopes for most of my domestic orders.
Down the Street has sold patterns around the world. Come browse through the decades for a little peek at fashion history.

Shop policies
Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
If you are returning an item shipping costs are not refundable.
Payment
GEORGIA RESIDENTS: Direct payment and Paypal will automatically charge you 7% sales tax, but if you live in a county with a different rate, I will be happy to send you a revised invoice. Please indicate your county in the Buyer’s Comments section.
Shipping
I will try to ship as cheaply as possible. Since it is hard to predict every price (especially multiple items going to an international destination), if I have overcharged by more than $1.00, I will refund that excess through the method of payment that you made.
Most of my shipping supplies are new, but I will, on occasion, use a recycled box and/or tissue. If you want only new, please let me know.
Additional policies and FAQs
Anything vintage, by it's very nature, has had a life somewhere else, out of my control. I air out the patterns as best I can, but sometimes a musty or smokey odor does linger.
