DowntownRoasters is a couple, Thomas and Cheyne*, living in Arlington, Texas.

Coffee Haus Downtown initially opened as a tiny, family owned and run coffee bar and salon in 2002. We started roasting our own beans, by hand, just a few years ago.

Just this past Thanksgiving, we lost our Founder, Patriarch, and Master Roaster, Thomas Marion Horton, Jr. To continue on the roasting tradition, his son, Thomas Marion Horton III, has begun roasting for the coffee shop. DowntownRoasters on Etsy is his private, hand-crafted label, where we sell Thomas' favorite blends and special roasts.

All roasting takes place in a certified food handling establishment with up-to-date food safety inspections. Thomas (the Roast Master) and Cheyne (Etsy shop manager and shipper) both have current city food handler permits for the city of Arlington. We follow all local and federal guidelines. Since coffee beans qualify as a grocery item in Texas, residents will not need to pay state sales tax!

Please do not hesitate to convo any question you have for us!
