About

It's not work when you love what you do.

Once I discovered Etsy, it took me over a year to work up the courage to open a shop. I pondered, contemplated, and then pondered some more. But I always chickened-out in the end. Finally in 2010 I took the plunge and haven't looked back. Welcome to my little corner of Etsy. Thanks for stopping by.

Over the years I've come to specialize in Mother & Baby animal designs. It all started with a sterling silver wire giraffe and a request to add a little baby to it. Then came elephants, hippos, bears, pigs, and many others. Along the way I discovered precious metal clay (PMC). It's a fantastic medium to work with. It's recycled fine silver particles in an organic binder that has a clay-like consistency. When you fire it in a kiln, the binder burns away and you are left with .999 fine silver. I work mostly in PMC now and apply my own artwork to each piece. So much fun!

Most of my items are made-to-order meaning I don't keep them in stock, but make them for you once you place an order. My production time is typically about 2 weeks. Sometimes I can get things shipped sooner, but other times life interferes and I need the whole 2 weeks.

Returns and exchange details
I want you to have a wonderful shopping experience so if there's anything you are not satisfied with, please let me know.

If you would like to return your jewelry, please contact me first. I will accept returns of non-personalized items within 14 days as long as the item is in new and unused condition. Please return it using the same type of packaging it arrived in so that it's protected. You will be responsible for the return shipping charges. Once I receive it, I will issue a refund minus the original shipping charges.

I do not accept returns of personalized or custom-ordered items. Personalization includes names, dates, initials, or any other characters that have been added specifically for you.
Payment
I accept PayPal and credit cards. If you pay with a PayPal eCheck, I cannot ship your order until it clears. This can sometimes take several business days.

If you are ordering a custom piece of jewelry, a non-refundable deposit may be required.

Wisconsin residents will be charged 5.5% sales tax on the order total, including shipping.
Shipping
★ WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP? ★
If it's in stock, it will ship within two business days. If it's a made-to-order piece, my production time is 1-2 weeks before shipping but can be longer around gift-giving holidays. Each item's title and description tell whether it's ready-to-ship or made-to-order.

★ HOW WILL MY JEWELRY BE PACKAGED? ★
Beautifully and ready for gifting! I ship my jewelry in pretty gift boxes tied with ribbon. Inside the box, your jewelry will be sealed in a small zip bag with a piece of anti-tarnish paper. I always include a receipt unless you ask me not to. A bubble mailing envelope is the final layer of protection. If it's a gift, I would be happy to include a personal note on a pretty little card. Just ask. :)

★ SHIPPING WITHIN THE USA ★
Orders within the US are shipped First-Class Mail and include tracking. When your order is shipped, you'll receive a shipping notification from Etsy which includes the tracking number. (These notifications like to hide in spam and junk mail folders so be sure to check there.)

★ SHIPPING OUTSIDE THE USA ★
International orders are shipped First-Class Package International Service and will sometimes include tracking, depending on the destination. When your order is shipped you will receive a shipping notification. Please allow 4-6 weeks for it to arrive. PLEASE BE AWARE that you are responsible for any customs fees, duties, or taxes that your country may impose. Contact your local postal service or customs agency for information regarding the possible charges.
Additional policies and FAQs
A polishing cloth is the easiest way to keep your jewelry looking its best. I prefer the ones that have two layers: one for tarnish removal and one for final polishing. After cleaning, store your jewelry in the included zipper bag. There's a small piece of anti-tarnish paper inside.

Perfumes, lotions, hair spray, and swimming pool chlorine will cause silver jewelry to tarnish quickly. Also never use any sort of jewelry dip. These can remove the finish and are too harsh.

Please keep in mind that your computer monitor may show colors differently than mine. Because of this, I try to describe the color of beads or stones as accurately as possible.

I take all of my photos with a macro lens which makes the jewelry appear larger than it actually is. I always include measurements and a photo that shows scale. Please refer to an actual ruler to get a better idea of the size.

My jewelry is not intended for children. Many of my pendants are small and could be a choking hazard.

Can I purchase a pendant without a chain?

Yes! Send me a message and I will be happy to add a 'No Chain' option to the listing for you. It will only reduce the cost by $7.00, though, because I deeply discount the chains when purchased with one of my handmade pendants.

Gift wrapping and packaging

Your jewelry will arrive packaged in a cocoa-colored gift box tied with a ribbon, all ready to give to someone special, yourself included. :)

VAT is not included.

I do not collect VAT on international orders since I am in the US. Therefore it is not included in the purchase price of your jewelry. You will be notified by your government if any import taxes and/or handling fees are due.
