dragonflyytales' Shop Policies
Thanks so much for your interest in my store. I love to make unique and one of a kind items for those who appreciate the out of ordinary. A blending of old and new materials to create the fun and quirky.
My studio is smoke free, but not pet free; as I employ a bouncy 3 year old Chocolate Boston Terrier.
I accept Paypal and bank checks. Please note: Refunds are given via Paypal ONLY.
Paypal Purchases: Payment is expected upon purchase. If you are having any problem with your Paypal account, please let me know A.S.A.P. so I know not to cancel your order. PLEASE be sure your Etsy shipping address matches the one you have listed in Paypal! You can change your shipping address in Paypal under your profile while you are checking out.
Bank Check Purchases: If you are sending a bank check, please notify me when you place your order. Payment should be sent within 3 days. I expect to receive mailed payments within 10 days of purchase. Items will not be sent until payment has cleared. PLEASE NOTE: Banks require a 10 day waiting period after checks are deposited to ensure that they clear before releasing funds.
Currently I only ship within the United States. I ship via USPS Priority Mail - Flat Rate (Provided your item fits in the box - Larger items will ship via Priority Mail with an adjusted fee). Priority Mail is not tracked or insured, but the post office does now include delivery confirmation. Priority Mail usually takes 2 to 3 days, but can sometimes take up to 5 days. Please note this is not guaranteed, so please plan accordingly. If you need your item to arrive sooner, please upgrade to Express Mail. Express Mail is guaranteed 2 day delivery and starts around $25.00
**If your Paypal address does not match your Etsy mailing address, please update your account at purchase. I will not ship your order if I am unsure of your correct shipping address.**
Refunds and Exchanges
If you are requesting a refund, please contact me within 2 days upon receipt of your item.
As soon as I receive the item, I will refund your payment via Paypal ONLY. If you paid by bank check, I still only send refunds via Paypal. You will need to register with them in order to receive your funds. ALL refunds are assessed a $3.00 fee to cover re-listing fees, and return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
I take great care in packaging of your items so they are not damaged in transit. I expect the same from my customers for all returns. SPECIAL NOTE: I reserve the right to refuse a refund if the item is not returned in it's original condition.
****Special Note**** With the addition of Preserves and Spreads to my store collection, I will not accept returns. I will replace if the shipment or part of the shipment is damaged in transit however. Damage must be documented with a photo and contact made within 24 hours of receipt.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Use your measuring tape: If you are unsure about fit, size, placement, etc..... Please get out your measuring tape and check. This helps to give you the correct perspective and helps reduce returns because of size or fit.
Hats - Please note that Vintage Hats tend to run small (21" to 22" on average). I try to give accurate measurements of all hats in my descriptions. If you are intending to wear your hat, I strongly suggest you measure your head.
** Measuring Your Head** Place a measuring tape on your forehead just above your eyebrow level and pass it around your head, ensuring that the widest part of the head is included. Common sizes for women are about 21 1/2"/ 56cm - 23" / 59.6 cm. You should add about 1/2" / 1.3cm for ease and comfort.
Vintage Hats: PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE - Note that "Vintage" hats are just that.... they are NOT brand new. I take the greatest care in finding vintage hats in good condition. This means no spots, holes or excessive wear. The original labels are left intact where possible, and I look for "Union Made". This means they were manufactured/built in the USA. Additional note on felted fur - most of the time the felted fur material is imported from the United Kingdom, France or Italy; then constructed by one of the millinery union factories in either New York or Chicago. I then add my hand made ribbon roses, vintage brooches, pearls, assorted feathers and hand dyed ostriche plumes by Mr. Casey Jones.
FEEDBACK, FEEDBACK, FEEDBACK........ I love to receive feedback and pictures! If you are purchasing a hat or apron, send me a picture to show me how it looks.
COMMUNICATION: Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. I will let you know when your item has shipped.
