I absolutely love dyeing yarn. The process of picking out colors to match different aspects of life is a great outlet for this crazy life! I started dyeing yarn about a year and a half ago, and gained inspiration from my mom at first. Now, I have been taking inspiration from life. Most of my colorways are nautical themed, and that is because of my love of the deep ocean colors.
I spend the majority of my time knit, with occasionally crocheting. I use knitting as a coping mechanism for the chaos of my life. I picked this up more, once I got fully invested in my job. I work at a residential treatment center for teenaged girls. When I found out what a great coping skill knitting is for me, I decided to teach them.
The majority of my girls now knit or crochet, and we are able to take time to relax together, and bond over the fiber arts.
I started a knitting podcast with my mom, Christy, on youtube this year, and it has made me fall in love with the finer community even more! I cannot believe the love and support we all have for each other.

I think I will continue to build my "yarn empire" as much as I can, and do this till the day that I die!
