Fractals created from bent wire
Mike is a bit of a math geek, and loves fractals. He had a late start in working with his hands (maybe not that odd for a computer programmer) but got interested in some of the mathematical art that was starting to emerge, and the whole Maker subculture.
Mike then discovered the Dragon Curve, and had the realization that this was a fractal that he could MAKE. So he made a huge wall art installation of the fractal, and gave it to his wife. Then he made a hoard of smaller ones to make into a cube of Dragon Curves. Shaunna saw the individual pieces, and suggested they would look cool as a necklace.
Shaunna wore that necklace out with her friends. So that first necklace turned into another for her friend, then another for that friend, then another for the friend's friend.
And that is how it all started...
