I would give more stars if it was possible. I only had a few weeks until a friends wedding and Kelley was able to draw it and ship it to me on time without any problems, and she packaged it very safely. She sent me updated pictures along the way just incase anything looked out of place. When it arrived I was astonished at how amazing it was, I kept showing people the drawing and everyone was in awe. Kelly is so talented and I will be using her for future projects as well as recommending her to friends! THANK YOU!!! I cant wait for the newlyweds to get back from their honeymoon to open it :D

About

Hand-drawn pencil portraits.

When I was young, my father saw me with my nose buried in a book and said, "You're such a bookworm!" My little brother, knowing my love for drawing, added, "Yeah, and you're a drawworm, too!"

I love making people happy with drawings. In our modern world, almost everything we own is mass-produced, instantly available and quickly replaced. I want to provide people with something special: one-of-a-kind artwork, inspired by each individual customer and their stories.

My portraits are often commissioned as gifts for important occasions - a new baby, a 60th anniversary (no kidding!), a recent wedding, or sometimes memorials for loved ones who have passed away.

I spend hours on every single portrait, perfecting the details so that it reflect the subject's personality. As one of my customers said, "our custom portrait bears a warmth that makes me smile every time I turn my eyes on it."

I draw realistic, elegant pencil portraits from photographs. In order to ensure the most life-like portrait possible, a large, clear, well-lit photograph is necessary.

Please remember: the better the photograph, the better the portrait. It's really difficult to make a good drawing from a bad photograph. That's why I ask you to ***please send me your photo so we can discuss it BEFORE ordering.**** You can contact me by clicking the "contact" link on the left. I just want to make sure you get the best portrait possible!

For examples of good and bad photos, see my blog post: http://tinyurl.com/ya56ych

I can modify photographs to some extent, such as leaving certain details out of the picture, or combining two similar photos into one drawing.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
  • Money Order
Returns and exchanges
Because portraits are custom-made, they cannot be returned. Refunds are only provided if the item is lost in the mail. I will send you pictures of the drawing in progress and when it's finished, so that you can preview the finished product and ask for changes, if desired. Don't worry, you'll love it!
Payment
I accept money orders and Paypal. Payment must be received before I start work.
Shipping
Portraits are usually completed within 2 weeks of purchase. Completion time may be longer if I have a waiting list - if this is the case, I will let you know immediately. If you need a portrait in less than 2 weeks, let me know and we'll work out a small rush charge. (About $15-$20.) I will work with you to ensure that the portrait is in your hands when you need it!

All portraits are carefully packaged in a sturdy envelope or poster tube, and are shipped with insurance and delivery confirmation. (International orders do have delivery confirmation unless you are willing to pay for express shipping.)
Additional policies and FAQs
I am available for custom orders. If you'd like something you don't see in my store, contact me! I'd love to hear from you!
