Dreamed Designed: A Contraptor's story
Before notorious mechanic Macy Green ever set foot on the airship HMS Avibellum, and even before Captain Lenora Zeffertt was forced to crash land The Time Ravager on the docks of London -- between the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the marvellificent Cascade Mountains, the contraptor behind Dreamed Designed was already learning the trades of craft and design.
Her journey began in the world of textiles, when, as a young lady, she learned not only how to sew but also how to design patterns for everyday articles of clothing. She also studied drawing and calligraphy. As the years went by, she added many more skills to this list, ranging from crochet to paper arts to jewelry making. Today, she works as both merchant and contraptor, selling her wares to chronauts around the world at the Dreamed Designed shop. The items she creates are an amalgamation of her lifelong interests, such as functional pattern design, as well as newly mastered skills and passions, including leather and metal smithing. She enjoys the value placed on innovation within the steampunk community, and this is why Dreamed Designed is so open to collaboration: together we keep the gears of imagination turning!
