Announcement   Opulent Mobility re-imagines wheelchairs, walkers and crutches as living art. Why shouldn't these useful objects get the style they deserve?

Opulent Mobility started as a series of mobility inspired artworks by A. Laura Brody. It's grown into group exhibits that take a fresh new look at re-imagining mobility, accessibility and assistive technology. And now it's branching out into guest lectures and DIY mobility workshops.

About

Re*Make. Re*Do. Re*Mode.

A. Laura Brody is a costume creator by trade and an artist by design.
After years of studying and working in professional costuming, she's now branching out.

Her Edwardian Cyborg electric wheelchair is included in Dr. Grymm’s 1000 Steampunk Creations.
Her Victorian inspired walker (Le Flaneur) showed at the Steampunk Form and Function show at the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation.
A wearable art piece she collaborated on with artist Morgan Culture was chosen as a finalist for the 2013 World of Wearable Art show in New Zealand.
Her "Opulent Mobility" artworks have branched out into an international group exhibit and guest lectures at UCLA. More of them are due to be published.
And even more work is on the horizon.

It is never too late to find your true desire.
