About

What can I say? I love what I do.

I started this business because I can't stop creating and I love to share what I make. This work makes me very happy in a way that nothing else does. Making artwork helps me express the excitement and wonder and inspiration I find in the world.

I work mainly in the mediums of printmaking and illustration, and am inspired by all the things I love about life: nature, friends, and food.

Since opening my Etsy shop in 2008, with a lot of thanks to Etsy as well as a host of wonderful friends and supporters, I've had great fortune to become one of those sellers who can "quit her day job" and focus on making artwork. My artwork has been featured in places like Sunset Magazine, Town & Country, wired.com, and the LA Times. In addition to selling my work on stationery and home goods, I work with many museums, non-profits, and companies to create custom illustration.

A life which revolves around making art is a great life!

Hello Etsy-an! Thanks so much for taking the time to browse my selection of handmade prints and illustrations.

I am passionate about art of all kinds, and particularly love printmaking, illustration, and storytelling.

This shop is a collection of artwork that I had a lot of fun making. My animal portraits are inspired by dogs and cats that I know and love, and my vegetable and fruit prints are inspired by my work on the world-renowned Chino's vegetable farm in Southern California.

My work has been seen on the Today Show, Sunset Magazine, Daily Candy, Apartment Therapy, Town and Country Magazine, and mentioned on NPR.

I care about my artwork and want to make your shopping experience fun and worry-free, so please convo me if you have any questions about my items or policies.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept payment via Paypal or credit card. If you live in the beautiful state of California your payment will include the Alameda County sales tax of 9.5% on the price of the item only (shipping is not taxed). All orders outside of California pay no sales tax.
Shipping
I ship most items via USPS Priority Mail. I do this because this way there is a tracking number to accurately track your package. I usually ship within 2-3 days of receiving your order. You'll get an email from me after your purchase. If you don't get that email within a couple of days, please check my home page to make sure I don't have my "vacation" sign up.

For the few things I send via regular US First Class Mail (single cards, gift tag sets, etc): Since US Mail offers no tracking ability, there is a very very slim chance that your purchase will be lost in the mail. If you prefer to avoid that by including tracking, please convo me and I will post a separate listing for you for USPS Priority shipping. The cost difference will be approx $3 (subject to change as postal rates increase!).

If you want your package shipped in a different way, please convo me and I'm happy to oblige. I will post a separate listing for you with the updated price.
Refunds and Exchanges
I want you to be happy with your purchase! If you are unhappy with the construction of any product please convo me within 2 weeks of receiving your purchase to let me know your issue. I will work with you to find a solution, either a refund or a replacement. For hand-pulled prints and other hand-printed items, please realize that variation and randomness is part of the inherent beauty of printmaking.

All packages are packed with care when they leave my studio, to ensure that normal postal service jostlings don't damage your purchase. I care about my artwork and do the best I can to get your package to you safely. Once it leaves my studio I have no control over how the postal service treats the package. Which is to say, if your item is lost or excessively damaged in transit I can't be responsible.
Additional policies and FAQs
I sometimes do custom work, and I definitely do wholesale.
