Hello! Looking for even MORE fun patterns, threads, workshops and kits from Dropcloth Samplers? Check out our new website- www.dropclothsamplers.com
Dropcloth Samplers is a line of hand-drawn embroidery samplers, printed and ready for you to jump in and start stitching right away. Each pattern is hand drawn by Rebecca Ringquist in her Portland Studio, and printed for you to embroider with your own color choices and design flair. Like a coloring book page for embroidery, these samplers arrive ready to stitch....
My favorite way to share new samplers (and other news from the studio) is with INSTAGRAM. I post what I'm working on @dropcloth. You can share your sampler progress there too- just use the hashtag #dropclothsamplers Thanks so much for sharing what you're stitching!
*I wrote a book! Rebecca Ringquist's Embroidery Workshops is now available, and includes its very own exclusive sampler! - I hope you'll get a copy!

4 out of 5 starsSo excited to start this. I used to embroider quite a bit when I was a kid - got away from it. I have not started this - looking forward to! I plan to learn different stitches and use their ( gorgeous!) image as a guide. My ultimate plan is to do 12 of these and then make a quilt ( fingers crossed)

Owner, Designer, Maker
I learned how to embroider in a feminist art history class, and have been inspired by the history of American needlework ever since. Dropcloth Samplers are my hand drawn designs that are printed as embroidery patterns, ready to hoop and sew.

Frequently asked questions
What's Included with the samplers?
Samplers come preprinted on quilting cotton and ready to stitch. Included are basic instructions. You provide your own thread and needles.
Where can I find more embroidery assistance?
I'm so glad you asked! Check out my online workshop on Creativebug. Here's a link:
http://bit.ly/originalsamplerworkshop
Where can I see other examples of the finished samplers?
Instagram! Check out the hashtag #dropclothsamplers for tons of beautiful examples of all our designs, stitched by people like you. I hope you'll add yours to the mix!
How should I back my sampler?
For best results, I recommend backing your sampler fabric with a second piece of non stretchy fabric (cotton or linen) before placing your fabric in the hoop. You'll get the flattest, most even stitches this way.
Do you sell Dropcloth Samplers Wholesale?
Yep!
Email me at dropclothsamplers@gmail.com and I'll get you a line sheet for your brick and mortar shop.
Do you design custom samplers?
No
