The earrings arrived sooner than expected and they were just as pictured on Etsy. They are so easy to wear and go with everything. I love the multi-dimensional look, movement and weight.

Dry Creek Trappings' contemporary jewelry designs are for those individuals searching for a unique expression of the jewelry arts.

I am a fourth generation metal artist and lapidary. My creations are mainly in sterling silver and yellow gold with unusual hand-cut semi-precious stones. I named my jewelry design business “Dry Creek Trappings” after the dry creek beds where my husband and I did much of our “rock hounding” and stone collecting. These unusual stones are then hand-cut and polished in my studio before I create a unique jewelry setting for them.

Many people have asked about my hallmark stamp on my artwork. The initials “C.A.T.S.” are my maiden name initials and I signed all of my art work with my initials since I began drawing. When my father and I took jewelry lessons together for the first time, he presented me with a metal-smithing stamp that had my initials on it.

Although I have a M.A. in Economics, I minored in art while completing my undergraduate degree and studied jewelry and lapidary techniques at established schools of the jewelry arts in the Chicago area. I have been designing and creating jewelry full time for over 19 years and take great pleasure in creating unique commissioned pieces.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy gift cards
Payment
I accept PayPal. Payment must be made at time of sale.
Shipping
I ship USPS. I strive to ship your product within 3 business days of receiving your order. My jewelry is individually hand crafted and I work independently, without help from assistants, so actual turnaround time depends on my current workload. Some commissions and special requests that require unusual design components may take longer. Email if you have inquiries or special requests.
Refunds and Exchanges
All sales are final. I will accept returns of jewelry for defects in construction not due to damage or abuse within 5 business days of your receipt. Contact me for a return authorization number. Returns without authorization will not be accepted. Piece will be repaired if possible and returned. If I am unable to repair the piece, purchase price will be refunded less the cost of shipping and any Etsy and Paypal transaction fees. Return shipping charges are not refundable.
