Silk Scarves, Jewelry, Accessories and Handmade Supplies

I started selling my work about nineteen years ago. The main focus of my creative process has always been fiber. In the last several years I have been working with eco printing and natural dyeing. Eco printing is an ecologically sustainable form of steam contact printing on paper and natural fiber fabrics. No inks or paints are used, the color comes from the leaves and other plant matter I work with. The color is considered permanent and is hand washable. I work mostly in silk to make things that make you and your home look and feel beautiful. Most of the plants I use are gathered in my garden or in a responsible manner in the wild-it is amazing the colors you can get out of some weeds and keep the little buggers under control at the same time! I steer clear of any sort of poisonous mordants, additives or processes.

I also make jewelry, as who can resist?

Not being able to find the sorts of things I would like to add to my work, I went back into ceramics. Like dyeing fabric, the possibilities in clay are endless. Since several of my friends have wanted to buy my hand made buttons I am offering them here as well.

Hello! I have sewn all my life but in recent years I have taken to eco printing and natural dyeing. It speaks to something in my soul, as I hope it will for you too. I work from my home studio in Spokane Washington.

Welcome to Drye Goods! I make many items out of fabric and fiber. I also do some hand dyeing. I use a sun printing process to dye silk and other natural fibers. Some items like scarves, shawls and ruanas are garment dyed and sometimes I dye the yardage first and then make the garment. All work on this site is made with my 10 dancing fingers. I love working with color and texture and form that follows function in a fun way.I will be adding many items over the next several weeks so stay tuned!
