Quirky, obsessive, and accurate art for food lovers.

Drywell Art is the creation of me, Alyson Thomas. Drywell Art started in 2010, a few months after leaving my attorney past behind me. What began as a daily drawing challenge for this self-taught artist has grown into a full-time six-figure meat, booze, and food art business. I might be a genius. Probably not.

Everything in my shop started as an original artwork, hand drawn & watercolored by me. Serious research of food, butchery, beer & cocktails is required to create accurate, sometimes funny, and always 100% original diagrams. No stock images, no shortcuts, no nonsense. Well, maybe a little nonsense.

I have created custom illustrations for numerous companies, including Fleisher’s Meats, Williams-Sonoma, Chronicle Books, The Bruery in Placentia, CA, Padrecito in San Francisco, and Il Cane Rosso in Dallas, TX.

Drywell Art HQ is in San Francisco, where I can patronize nerdy cocktail bars, attend butchery demos, drink homebrew, and watch the wild parrots eating in my backyard. Seriously.

Returns and exchange details

ART: Please contact me as soon as possible if there is a problem with your purchase from drywell, and I'll happy to make it right via refund or replacement. I'm sorry I cannot accept returns on custom pieces (unless damaged in transit) or exchanges for a different piece than you ordered.

TSHIRTS: Please contact within 3 days of receiving your package if your item arrives damaged. If your item was damaged during shipment, a replacement item or a full refund (including all shipping charges) will be sent upon safe receipt of the returned item.

Unfortunately, for sanitary reasons, I cannot accept returns of T-shirts due to fit issues. Please check and double check the shirt sizing link on the listing to get the right size for you. Thank you!
Payment is to be made at the time of purchase, via PayPal.

If I have not received payment within 3 days, I will contact you via email and Etsy convo. If after 5 business days from the sale, I still have not received payment, I will cancel the sale.
Your order will ship out on our next scheduled shipping date.
Orders are shipped via USPS First Class mail. Please contact me if you would like a different shipping method, or need a rush delivery, and I will try my best to accommodate!

International orders are shipped via USPS First Class International mail. There can be unpredictable delays in customs in your home country. That being said, none of my international customers have experienced extensive delays and receive their art quickly!

Shipping costs include the cost of packaging and handling.

International customers are responsible for any and all customs fees or duties. I will not falsify customs declaration forms in order to help a Buyer avoid these taxes and fees, as doing so is against the law.

And be sure to double check your mailing address when checking out on PayPal. Any items returned to sender because of a customer's address error will require new payment for re-shipping. This includes items over $35 that initially qualified for free shipping. Re-shipping costs additional money. Any errors on my part will be re-shipped for free.

I also take wholesale orders, just convo me for more details.

To fulfill your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, mailing address, payment information, and the details of the product you've ordered. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order or gift message, for example), if you contact me directly.

How I Use Your Information. I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including: to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfill your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support; when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list; if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as required by tax law; and as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as providing and improving my services or as needed to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure. Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention. I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 7 years.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU. I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

Your Rights. If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below. Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will delete your personal information upon request. Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons. Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
