Our bow ties are hand made using vintage material from choice, dead stock neck ties—the popular, polished hits that everyone knows (and we mean “everyone” in the worst way possible). We clean them, cut them, line them, stitch them, and wear them ourselves.

While 45s may be going the way of the pearl stick-pin, we all still know the story. The A-side was the money maker—the B-side was anything from an understated side project to a charming gem of unanticipated longevity.

An absolutely wonderful bow tie! Well constructed, made of sturdy material, and looks as advertised. n nThe only minor (very very minor) complaint is the length of the neck. It could be a bit longer but it fits me just fine with a bit of extra room (size 15-15 1/2 neck). It is advertised for sizes 13-17 though and it would almost definitely fit those! n nAll in all it is a fantastic bow tie and I plan on wearing it on many future outings! n nThanks nD.C.

B-Side Bow Ties

Taking Something Good, and Turning it into Great

Each bow tie i make starts off as a good quality, clean (but sadly, unwanted) neck tie. I personally pick and choose ties based on condition, quality, design, and size.

Then the magic starts! I disassemble each tie and cut out my pattern. After that, I sew in a high quality interfacing and assemble each bow tie.

To finish each tie, I attach my adjusters and metal bits. Each adjuster is hand sewn onto the tie to make sure they are good and secure.

I am a math teacher by day, and tie maker by night. When I inherited my aunt's sewing machine, I was watching the TV series "WKRP in Cincinnati" and thought that Les Nesman's bow ties were awesome. The rest is history.
