My name is Devin and I am the woman behind DWC Creative. I've been a crafter since I could color in the lines. I love experimenting with all types of art, including photography, watercoloring, hand lettering, and fiber arts.

Metalsmith //
In 2016, I started my adventure with in the art of metalsmithing. I started out by taking classes locally, collecting stones, and reading up on anything I could to practice this new skill.
Moving out west to Colorado in 2012 really inspired to pursue this dream of making my own original jewelry with the natural stones that are mined in Colorado and other neighboring states.
I bought my first "real" turquoise ring on my first real adventure in Colorado. On our trip to Estes to go hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park, I found myself fascinated by all of the western wear shops in town. I found the most perfect ring in one of the little shops and I loved that the stone was almost shaped like the letter "D" (for Devin). I thought it was a great piece to remember my first adventure in Colorado with, my now husband, Kay. The next ring I purchased was on a trip to Hamburg, Germany at a local shop that sold oriental rugs, pottery, and other nomadic art. The owner did not speak a lot of English, and still helped me comb through jewelry to find rings in my size until I came across the most perfect marquise shaped Carnelian ring.
It became tradition to buy pieces of jewelry on all of my big adventures. Other memorable adventure rings are a huge turquoise statement piece from our road trip to Santa Fe, New Mexico and a white buffalo ring purchased on our honeymoon to a cabin in the mountains.

These rings bring back beautiful memories for me whenever I wear them and allow me to share those memories with others when they also notice their beauty. My dream is to make adventurous pieces of jewelry, so that others can have the similar feeling of finding the most perfect personal pieces and share their memories with others.
