4 out of 5 starsIt's nice that the design is bleached into the shirt instead of printed because that means it won't wear over time. Marjorie was very helpful.

About LoveMarjorie
Hand Dyeing Silk, Wool, Cotton, and Linen with indigo and Japanese woven taupe fabrics
In September of 2015, I went to Kyoto Japan to visit my daughter and fell in love with the country, the people, the food, and the fabric. I visited the beautiful village of Arashyama, a place filled with romance, beauty and talented artisans practicing their handmade crafts in little shops all over town. In one of the shops, I bought some small remnants of cloth and my daughter who speaks very good Japanese told the owner that I was a cloth dyer and quilter. The owner then gave me a good size bag of "scraps" all beautiful woven, many indigo dyed. I took them home and paired them up with some of my hand dyes and the finished pieces made me really, really happy. I will be posting some her for sale along with my hand dyes and Japanese wovens if I can get my hands on any!
I lived in Brooklyn, NY for many years and worked printing and dyeing fabric for Broadway show costumes and also created an earned income non-profit printing studio in New York City that employed homeless youth, aged 18-21 to teach job skills including computer graphic design and silkscreen printing.
Three years ago, we moved to Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, a small village in the Western part of the state situated in the Hills along the Deerfield River. All the work listed in my shop is made by hand, by me, in my Shelburne Falls Studio. I am also an associate working artist at Brick & Mortar Gallery in Shelburne Falls.
