Wizarding & Geekery

My journey to Creating Dynamic Alley started around Halloween of 2012 when my daughters decided they wanted to dress as their favorite characters for their youth group's Harry Potter themed party.

Being the crafty person that I am I decided we could make wands and other accessories to complete their costumes. After a bit of research we dove in, creating Luna and Hermoine's wands, a cork necklace and radish earrings.

I had so much fun creating the wands that I kept making more. By Halloween I had quite a few. My daughters took them to school and they were a hit. Within a few weeks all of the wands I had made found their witch/wizard!

I opened my Facebook page in January 2013 and my Etsy shop in February 2013 and my website in March 2017. I love the process of designing and creating these items and I hope they find homes with people who'll love them too!

Returns and exchange details
If your item arrives damaged, please contact me immediately. I will be happy to replace or refund after return. Please keep damaged item and packaging. Photos and other information may be needed to file an insurance claim.

If you decide you wish to return or exchange your item (excludes personalized and custom orders), please contact me within 14 days from when you receive it. Once the item has been returned in original condition I will refund the price of the item (less shipping), or send your replacement item (customer responsible for shipping of replacement item). Customers are responsible for return shipping.

I strive to take care of my customers, please send a convo with any problems or concerns.
We accept Paypal and credit/debit cards.

Items purchased with credit/debit cards via Etsy Payments are eligible for Etsy's Purchase Guarantee. Items purchased through PayPal are eligible for PayPal's Buyer Protection.

Etsy and PayPal keep your payment information secure. Etsy shops never receive your credit card information.
Most items are made to order and have a processing time before shipping. Please check the shipping tab on the listing to view time before items ship. Please message me with any questions or concerns.

Processing times are figured from date that payment is received.

Shipping upgrades affect the shipping method, processing times remain the same.

Delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.

Domestic shipping: Items are shipped USPS First Class unless otherwise determined between buyer and Dynamic Alley. Packages include tracking and insurance.* All orders $50 and up may be shipped with signature confirmation.

International Shipping: International orders are shipped USPS First Class. Expedited shipping can be added at buyers expense. Please convo prior to purchase to discuss rates. Deliver times may take several weeks from date shipped. International customs and fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

Items are shipped to the shipping address on the Etsy account.

Privacy Policy

Dynamic Alley does not collect or use any information other than what is needed to ship orders.

Dynamic Alley does not receive any credit card or payment details. Payment processing is handled through Etsy or PayPal.

Custom and personalized orders

I take custom orders. Most items in my shop can be custom made to your needs/desires. I can often make changes to colors, lengths or size. I can design custom wizard wands based on your ideas.

I can also personalize many of my items with laser engraving. I can have a short phrase or name engraved. Even small, simple images can be engraved.

Processing time and cost will depend on the complexity and materials used. Please feel free to message me about custom designs.

When will my item(s) be ready to ship?

Most of my items are made to order. Items are usually ready to ship in 3-5 business days. This can vary at times so please check the Shipping & Policies tab (Shipping & Payment on mobile). Look for “Ready to ship in _______”.

If you need your item quickly, please message me prior to purchase to see what accommodations can be made.

About Shipping

Items are shipped via USPS. Shipping upgrades for USPS are available after item is added to cart. Shipping includes tracking and insurance (USPS).

Please message prior to purchase if you would like to get a quote on shipping upgrades not listed, or if you want a quote for FedEx Overnight or 2nd Day.

Domestic: USPS First Class is usually about 2-5 days from date shipped. USPS Priority is usually about 2-3 days date shipped. These times can vary and delivery dates are not guaranteed.

International: USPS First Class International delivery time is approx. 1-3 weeks from date shipped, but can take longer. International customs and fees are the responsibility of the buyer.

Care instructions

My items are hand painted and sealed for protection. Clean gently with a damp cloth. Prolonged or excessive exposure to moisture can damage paint finish.

Wizard wands are suitable for display as well as for use as a costume piece or cosplay. They are durable enough for play, heavy and prolonged play can result in scratches and wear to the finish.

Reasonable care should be taken in the care and use of these items.
