Whether it’s the first thing in the morning or the end of the day – it’s great to have something to put on quickly that is comfortable, elegant and practical to wear around the home. Based on the timeless elegance of the kimono, Early Indigo robes are made with natural fabrics that are absorbent, breathable, and easy to care for. Early Indigo robes are designed and manufactured in the USA.
Our limited edition kimono-style robes come in two styles –Our cotton/linen chambray style is trimmed with woven cotton sourced from Japan – with each washing it will become softer and more absorbent. The second style is made with luxurious cotton velour – for those in colder climates or who just enjoy a warm cozy robe; it’s slightly longer and has a shawl collar.
This particular style is 80% cotton and 20% poly – which makes it very easy to care for.
We make our robes in small batches, so depending on fabric availability, the styles in fabrics shown may not be available again. Both styles have an inset belt, so you never have to worry about losing it; and the sleeves are purposely ¾ length to keep them out of the way when working around the home.

We are proud that our garments are designed and manufactured in the USA. Our products are shipped with minimal packaging using recycled materials, avoiding the use of plastics.

I choose this manufacturer because it is less than 6 miles from my home and had good reviews from other clothing designers. I was able to visit the factory and interview one of the owners. Many of the workers have been with the company for 20+ years.
