Welcome to my shop. I am Michelle, owner of Earthly Goddess. My goal is to offer a more natural approach to healing and caring for your body. All herbs are stored in sealed containers away from light to keep them fresh. I have been working with herbs and natural elements for years. By this, I mean, I harvest herbs, dry them, use them in teas, tinctures, salves, oils, smudges, pet sprays and garden sprays. I believe nature provides what we need to heal our bodies. I will do my best to give you a few uses of the herb in medicinal and magical practices. When you shop with Earthly Goddess, you can rest assured that I handle these herbs very carefully. Each herb is weighed and packaged into zip seal bags and labeled for you.

Herbs are a way we can improve our life. We have so many resources all around us. Trees, flowers, roots are everywhere we look! Our ancestors used them to cure illness, fight infections, used them on wounds, skin ulcers, cancer, earaches and most any illness imaginable. They have been used in teas, tinctures, salves, added to food, poultices and so much more.

Why buy loose herbs? In most cases, the entire plant is used. The leaf, stem, flower and roots. Each part holds its own essential nutrients. When you buy loose herbs they contain more essential oils than your tea bag variety. Less processed, means more essential oils and nutrients are still in the plant. When I make oils or tinctures, I grind the plants down to small pieces, when I am ready to use them. I then place them in a jar with desired liquid. This allows more exposed area to pull out the plants essence.

I use herbs daily. I look at it as an addition to my daily food. If I have stress, I use a tea or tincture to relax. If I feel a cold coming on, I do the same. If I don't feel like tea, then I grind them and put them in a capsule. If my dog has flea bites, I make a salve or oil to heal it and sooth the itch. Plus she loves the taste! I know what has worked for me. Being an herbalist, I have studied herbs and worked with them for long enough to know they do work. They can cleanse your body, healing it, regenerating new cells. Google works great to find information on different herbs and what they have been used for. If you are new to herbs, I encourage you to research several sources to make sure you are getting the right information

I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida, which allows me to have a garden going most of the year. I work with the natural elements and energies. I harvest with the moon for the strongest herbs. I am always growing, collecting and drying herbs for myself, so why not offer them to you too.

You have many ways you can use herbs. Tea is the most widely used method. Tea is herbs infused in water to pull out their essential nutrients. Some herbs take longer to steep than others. Your root herbs may need to take longer to steep than your more leafy plants. Another way to use your herbs is in a tincture. A tincture is a way of extracting the plants essential nutrients in a much stronger form, with something like vodka, glycerin, vinegar or honey. This would soak for around 4- 6 weeks. Massage oil for sore muscles, salve for cuts and burns. Oils and salves can be made by putting herbs in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, coconut oil, almond oil, etc... and let them soak for around 4-6 weeks. After which time you would strain and bottle them. Bees wax is added to oil to make a salve.

With each herb, I give some uses for the herb. How they have been used. Be sure you do some research if your not sure how it will effect you. If you have heart problems, pregnant, or under a doctors care, be sure to check with them before starting a herbal diet. Herbs can help you in so many ways. They can be as simple as having a cup of Mullein tea to open up your breathing. Making an oil with Calendula for dry skin. Skullcap tea to ease pain or anxiety. If you have questions, just ask.
