4 out of 5 starsBeautiful work. I asked for the pouch to be made a slightly more round shape instead of with the really square corners and they were able to alter it for me. The leather quality is first rate. The swing hinge clasp doesn’t hold as well as I hoped, but it’s still alright. Overall very happy with this pouch and I use it all the time. Definitely built to last.

Earthly Leather Design is mostly a Made to Order Business. Meaning most of our Leather Products are made after Purchase to the Color and Size Specifications you give us. We typically run around a 2 week production time. So your item will most likely ship at the end of 2 weeks. If you need some fast ask us if we have something similar in stock.

This all started by making a few items for friends and then I thought I would sell a few things to make some extra cash. Now this has taken on a life of it's own and I love it!
I am second generation leather worker. I have honed my craft over trial, error, and time. I have made many pieces for my friends who all enjoy my skills. I have made everything from pouches, belts, mug straps, leather skirts, leather halter tops, and many other things over the years. My partner, shipper, assembler, web designer, photo editor, and handyman Randy, also helps me assemble items and helps me make my products top notch!
Every challenge is a new adventure and selling my products is the biggest adventure of them all.
My parents own Lutz's Leather, where I have worked for over 10 years, www.lutzsleather.com . We make our own custom saddle bags and other leather accessories. I owe my talents to my incredibly talented father, who started out in the basement of our house making leather belts. He then moved to a slightly bigger shop in down town Ellwood City. After about 10 years of building the business up, we moved to our current location about 3 miles out of Ellwood City, where I help run the business, with my mother on the front end, who also is our accomplished seamstress, and has taught me a trick or two herself. Then I help in the back making products to sell to our customers. Leather is my life and I enjoy every step of the creative process.
As well as being an accomplished leather worker, I have been machine sewing my own Reenactment clothing for about ten years. I went to my first SCA event about ten years ago and have been inspired by Middle Ages ever since.
I enjoy the craft so much that I am ready to share my talent with others. I hope my pieces bring as much joy to others, as they bring to me when I make them.

Returns and exchange details
Earthly Leather Design Offers a Lifetime Warranty on all Leather, Stitching, and Hardware on Leather Products made by Earthly Leather Design. If something breaks or needs replaced, all you pay is Shipping to and from us.
Any modifications you make to the Item(s), with out permission, will make the warranty void.
Leather does stretch and fade with ware. So fading and stretching is to be expected and are not covered by the above Warranty.

~Returns of Regular Stock

~Belt Returns/Exchanges (Buckle Belts Only)
There are absolutely no returns on belts, where you have given/ordered the wrong size. Earthly Leather Design belts are custom made & fitted to the size you give us. Once belts are cut down and holes are cut, we have no guarantee that we will be able to resell a cut and sized belt. So please make sure you have given/ordered the proper sizing. We provide detailed measurement instructions in every belt listing, as well as our FAQs section.
Exchanges may be accepted on a case by case basis and are subject to a restocking fee.

A; The correct size to use is the one you came up with by measuring.
Unfortunately I can not tell you what size your belt needs to be based on your pants size. Many pant manufactures do not make their pants using actual waist measurements for their waist sizes. Another problem is that pants relax and stretch over time.
Think of my belts as being tailored. Getting as close to a specific measurement, on your body, as possible is best.
When you measure for your size please measure where your belt will sit. So if you’re a lady and wear low rise jeans measure where your jeans sit.

Q; My current favorite belt is 45 inches long with 5 holes and I’m using the first hole, if I get any bigger I won’t be able to use the belt. Does the 45 make my waist size a 39 in your belt?
A; Unfortunately I cant tell you what size your belt makes you without measuring you. There is no standard for all belts on how far the holes are from the tip of the belt, nor the distance between the holes. They all vary by maker. Based on your description you can be anywhere between a 39 and a 43.

1) Take a tape measure, and/or peace of string/rope.
2) Put the end of the string/tape on the button of your pants and wrap it around once.
3) Pull the string/tape to the tightness that you will wear the belt.
4) Mark where the string/tape meets on your button.
5) Note the measurement of the string/tape.

I seal all of my Leather thoroughly. But the color does fade with time, no matter what you do. It's just general wear and tear. How much you wear the Item, and how long it is in the sun contributes to how fast fading happens. Leather also stretches over time.

I only dye the backs of belts and straps as a special request, and am very against it. I AM NOT to be held responsible for any color bleeding from the back of a belt/strap onto clothing. I have never had a problem, but accidents do happen. I only do it because people ask for it. I take multiple precautions to prevent bleeding.
1) I only dye the visible backing.
2) I only apply one coat of coloring to the back of the belt/strap. So it won't be dark black, but a soft black, more like a very dark gray.
3) I thoroughly seal every dyed back multiple times

Q; How long will it take before I receive my order?
A; All of our Leather Products are handmade at the time of purchase. We usually run at a 2 week maximum production time for most orders, Assuming we received all necessary information with your order.
Shipping times vary based on the Shipping Option you chose at checkout, in addition to how the Postal Service is running at that particular time.
Q; How do I figure out my belt size?
A; First forget your pant size. The easiest way, is to simply take a tape measure and wrap it around yourself where you wear your belt & note that measurement. Make sure you've pulled the tape measure snug like you would your belt. This works for both Kilt Belts & Work Belts.
Q; Do your products come with a Warranty?
A; We offer a Lifetime Warranty on all Stitching, and Hardware on the Leather Products we make. If something breaks or needs replaced, all you pay is Shipping to and from us.
Q; Do you ship Internationally?
A; We do ship worldwide, but it could take a while to get to you. We cant control how long a package takes to get to you once I have shipped it, & many countries hold packages in customs for weeks before releasing them for delivery. You are also responsible for paying any Import Fees & Taxes.
Q; Do you accept returns or exchanges?
A; Of course, as long as it isn't an Item that has been used, or personalized with a name/initials, but please contact me before sending your order back.

Q; Do you take Custom Commissions
A; Currently we are not able to take commissions on items that we do not already make/have patterns for, including custom tooling.
