Announcement    SCRAP CABBAGE is a term used for saved bits and pieces of fabric. Cabbage is also one of those handy vegetables you can regrow from scraps into a fresh new plant. The products in my shop are upcycled from discarded but beautiful fabric. When I discover a large amount of fabric I can make larger items like adult garments and blankets. The smaller pieces are often just enough for a single baby item and the smallest of pieces are used for doll dresses and other tiny projects like buttons and fridge magnets. The goods in my shop are always changing depending on my fabric finds.

I've been collecting pieces of precious fabric adding to my scrap cabbage stash for many years. I collect off cuts from other sewing projects - both my own and from manufacturers of garments and furnishings. I love nothing more than scouring markets and charity shops hunting down interesting and good quality textiles and discovering a forgotten bolt of vintage fabric makes my day

The energy that goes into making fabric is massive and a lot of wonderful material with life left in it ends up in landfill. My intention is to reduce that impact in a process akin to fabric alchemy by transmuting today's trash into tomorrows treasure.

I also have a range of haberdashery in my shop - all are quality items that I use and love myself.

One of my upcycled rag dolls is currently being displayed in an exhibit entitled "Upcycled" at the Power House Museum in Sydney.

Please note only new fabrics are used for my face masks and cloth pads.
