Announcement   JANUARY-APRIL 2016 100% OF GROSS PROCEEDS GO DIRECTLY TO NONPROFIT ORPHAN MINISTRY IN KENYA!

Herb Veith's Ministry to Orphans, Kenya, East Africa.

Seven months ago, my dear friend, Virginia Veith, founded a non-profit in memory of her recently deceased husband, Herb. This ministry assists children in Kenya who have been orphaned by AIDS. The ministry is an off-shoot of Mission to the Fatherless, which Herb and Virginia started together in the 1990's and has since grown to include two orphanages in Kenya. Virginia will be headed back to Kenya in April, and I hope to send Earthworms Woolens proceeds to assist the orphans who rely on these donations for food, clothing, medical, and education!

Earthworms Woolens are one-of-a-kind felted wool textiles to wear, including recycled wool sweatercoats and accessories to keep you and your precious ones warm and stylish.

The idea for the line of children's wear originated three years ago when I was in search of unique, eco-centric, child-friendly warm weather gear for my oldest daughter, Lilly. She desired a cross between a sweater and coat, that would be easy to care for and very well made, but also stylish and one-of-a-kind.

After tinkering with felting, yarn, and embellishments, I created a sweatervest with metal closures and a matching cross-the-body purse to match. The first time Lilly wore the sweatervest and purse, two moms asked about purchasing one for their toddlers. Three years and two kids later, the idea again surfaced and the collection was born.

Each Earthworms Woolen creation is one-of-a-kind and non reproducable due to the fact that the materials are from recycled textiles and only avalible in very limited quantities. Each piece, start to finish, takes between ten and twenty hours to complete. The pieces are handmade and finished by me, no sewing machines or serging. What a wonderful heirloom- quality gift for your own precious one, grandchild, or special child in your life.

Avalible sweatercoats and accessories will be posted on this site as they are completed.

Shop policies

If not completely satisfied, I ask that you return any items before wearing or laundering (which I suggest that you do not do as spot cleaning works best on felted wool). If the item is damaged, altered, or destroyed in anyway, I will not accept a return. Each item is made with much love and I'd rather keep the item (in pristine condition) than have a customer be dissatisfied. I also ask that if you plan to resell items made by Earthworms, that you first allow the items creator the opportunity to purchase the item back. I create each piece in an heirloom quality and style and hope that it has many lifetimes before being recycled into it's next purpose (hopefully not a bed for fido).

Items will be thoughtfully packaged and shipped by U.S.P.S. Priority mail. International orders are welcome. All packages will be insured and the cost for that is included in the shipping cost.
Refunds and Exchanges
All items are to arrive in pristine condition. If they do not, then I will need to make a claim with the shipper, so please let me know right away if your lovely little ditties looks molested in any way. I will refund any purchases that aren't considered absolutely delicious by my patrons (Mom, stop buying up all my items for sale, please! Save some for the folks out there in the hemispheres!). I also would be happy to exchange an item that just doesn't work for you.
Additional policies and FAQs
