About

I've been crafting since I was 9 years old.

As a child, I began crafting with "Jiffy Ann" - a crocheted doll. That simple beginning led to crafting in numerous fiber arts. Formal craft training began in woodworking at the Worcester Center for Crafts (WCC) in central Massachusetts. Next came metalsmithing classes at WCC as a way to spend quality time with, my then, college age daughter. One class led to an other and a love of working with metals, particularly copper, began. Known as the "Goddess of Copper" at WCC, I became entranced with etching copper and the variety of designs I could create using this unique technique.

When it became time to offer my work to the public, I needed a name that expresses the unusual, yet give people an idea of what my work (OK - play) is all about. As the Eclectic Metalsmith, I etch, forge, and roller print metals into a variety of jewelry and useful items in my central Massachusetts studio.

I start with sheets of copper metals and meticulously craft them to become wearable art. Take pleasure in the knowledge that they will provide years of long lasting delight. Enjoy!

I started metalsmithing classes to spend quality time with my, then, college-age daughter. One class led to another and a love of working with metals began. I love copper so much that classmates titled me "Copper Goddess" (goddesses are immortal!)
