About EcoGlassStudio

Sales 255
On Etsy since 2013

One night it hit me: Wouldn’t it be nice to combine my love of glass art with my passion for recycling?

Throughout the years, I have dabbled in various forms of jewelry-making. Yet I have always been intrigued by glass. I find glass art to be so beautiful and relaxing. Recently, I got the courage to learn the art of glass-fusing, and I was immediately hooked. I happily began to create gorgeous pendants, earrings, bracelets, and rings using the myriads of sheet glass colors that are available to glass artists. One evening, like many, my husband and I were finishing a bottle of Malbec red wine, and were about to toss it into the recycling bin, when an idea popped into my head. I tested the empty wine bottle in my kiln and was surprised to find that I could melt it! Then it hit me: Wouldn’t it be nice if I could combine my love of glass art with my passion for recycling? That was the start of Eco Glass Studio.

I soon began stocking my small studio in Atlanta, GA with various colors of my used wine bottles to create my designs. As my friends and family found out about my recycled jewelry designs, and as I met wine-lovers at festivals and owners of wine stores, more empty wine bottles began to pour in!

Each wine bottle that I recycle has completed its mission of being a wine bottle. Now it has a new mission: to be preserved as a beautiful piece of glass art! Who knows where the glass may have ended up otherwise?

Jewelry colors = Wines

Blue = Pinot Grigio

Thank you for visiting Eco Glass Studio! I have a passion for eco-friendly jewelry and glass art, and I have a feeling that you do too. Each piece that you see in my shop is handmade by me. Many pieces are one-of-a-kind. I use a lot of glass that I upcycle (recycle) from wine bottles, but I also like to use other interesting sources of glass to give me a chance to play with more colors and to explore more glass ideas.

Custom orders are welcome! If you would like me to design a piece for you, please contact me and we can discuss what you would like. You can be a part of the designing process!
