I put this piece of art in a shabby chic room and it brings the spot alive which I put it in. Thank you for your beautiful work

These are so cute and they came in perfect condition. All of the items from this store were beautifully crafted and look great in the rooms.

About

I just have to make something!

When I was young I loved that my grandmothers and my mother would sew me dresses. It's one thing to go to the store and buy clothes but, it's a whole other thing when you see this fabric and buttons come to life as a dress made by someone who took their time to cut and sew it for you! That's love! Nobody had a dress exactly like mine- special and one of a kind!
That's what inspired me to learn to sew starting in Jr High (that's right I'm old enough to actually have 'home ec' classes available in Jr High and High School!). I learned to sew and cook (both of which I love and wish I could so all day, every day- can't wait for retirement!)
As a child in the 70's -wow! creativity was everywhere. There was candle making, soap making, macrame, jewelry making, tie dying, painting! creativity was everywhere and there was a kit to inspire you to try anything and everything and I did!
I have sew dresses for my own daughter and her friends as well as my friends would 'hire' me to make a dress for special events. I have sewn my own curtains because, I had a decor idea and couldn't find what I was looking for. I have two new 'grandbabies' on the way so, now I am inspired to make baby quilts!
I saw flowers made out of ribbon by Helen Gibb and was inspired to learn to make roses from ribbon. A 'forever' rose that is always beautiful and will never wilt. I learned to 'paint with ribbon' with ribbon embroidery.
The local craft stores are always a source of inspiration. And I get that old familiar urge- I just got to make something!
