About

WOOD CRAFTS CREATED WITH AN IMAGINATION & A SCROLL SAW

I worked as a lumberjack for more than 30 years before being injured on the job. I continue to appreciate working with trees in an entirely different way now.
My work now is with the scroll saw, no lasers or computers are used. Many tiny holes are first drilled into the piece to be created, to enable insertion of the the fragile saw blades , one wrong cut can ruin the whole project....sanding is done to every piece, woodburning & carving is also incorporated into my work, it takes much time to create even the smallest piece. My wife & I paint & finish the work to preserve it's beauty forever.
Please browse my handy work, I hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I love creating it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I order more than one of an item, when there is only one available for purchase?

Multiple orders of a single piece are possible but will not be identical as they are still considered a unique piece. Contact me to order additional items of the same piece.

What type of wood do you use?

Some of the items in the shop are created with white pine, which we purchase locally at a lumberyard. Most of our items are created with scrollsaw ready hardwood that we purchase here: http://www.ocoochhardwoods.com/

What type of paint & finish is used on your finished pieces?

We use acrylic paint to add color & realism, a clear finish is then applied to all of our home decor pieces. As for toys made by us, nontoxic acrylic paint for color & then a butcher block finish.

How long will it take you to create an item that I have ordered?

There is at least one of every item listed in our shop available as ready to ship. If, through Etsy conversation or email, you request a custom order or additional items of one that you have placed an order for, processing time will be determined when the request is made.
