I worked at Nordstrom for a l-o-n-g time, so I have tons of jewelry. This is my second pair of these because I gave the other pair to a lady in my veterinarian's office who rescues owls. I wear these constantly. They make me look much cooler than I really am. Thank you!

About

The Power of Myth

The story of Eilisain really began when I found the name, Eilisain (I-li-sean) at a Celtic fair, I went to a booth where you can have your name translated into Gaelic. Of course I was curious and had my name, Lisette translated and thus is Eilisain meaning "Consecrated to God". I have always found cultural mythologies fascinating; creation stories and how varied and yet similar they are. Eilisain seemed so appropriate for my future jewelry business and Etsy shop.

Eilisain Jewelry represents my fascination and appreciation for myth stories and the power and understanding we receive from applying them to our own lives.

Every piece of Eilisain jewelry is handcrafted by me using found animal parts, rough coral and gemstones, animal teeth, and of course the alchemial properties of metal. My hope is to provide the wearer of Eilisain jewelry the vitality of myth and belief that objects (adornment) can transform their perspective and appearance.

Thank you for viewing Eilisain Jewelry: it represents another world, another time. The rough textures of non-precious gemstones combined with organic materials reflect the delicate yet vital balance of our world.

As you can see much of Eilisain jewelry is a mixed media - silver, bronze and copper blended with coral, beads, gold leaf, organic materials like nuts and deer antler.

No animals were harmed in the process of my jewelry making. I have a very high respect for the wildlife and creatures of the world.

Ethics on organic materials:
*Deer antler was naturally shed
*Owl talon was used once and replaced in the wild.
*Black coral was found on the beaches of Isla Grande in Panama.
*turtle shell was found in the wild after the turtle died.
*crow claw was also found in the wild.
*badger claw was found in the wild.
*Beaver teeth were purchased from an ethical source and not killed for the teeth.
