Got this squeaky toy for a friend's pup, and she loved it. Quality seemed really good + packaging was adorable. Fabric was really thick + seemed sturdy and the squeaker was a satisfying sound, if such a thing exists :)

I got this as a gift for a friend, it fit their big Bernese boy perfectly and he looked so handsome in it! Great customer service too - I placed my order sort of last minute, and she offered to gift wrap for me + send straight to my friend. Love it!

simple sustainable dog toys and accessories that encourage lighthearted play

When I am working on a product for Eleanor and Milo my main focus is to keep everything • Simple - Sustainable - Fun • I strive to offer adorable toys and accessories that have a super small eco-footprint and encourage joy and lighthearted play.

I founded Eleanor and Milo because I love the idea of creating and offering a product that will result in a tail wag… and maybe even a smile. When I hang out with my two dogs their joy and openheartedness is contagious. I find that one of the best ways to open my own heart is to interact with them --with intention and caring-- and that giving them toys and treats is one way to do this. It’s just so good for everyone involved.

I have always been a maker. I have combined my passion for sustainability with my endless need to make things for as long as I can remember; early on that looked more like sculptures made of found metal, plants, handmade papers and woven vines. However, through getting a degree in Industrial Design, I developed a more holistic understanding of product research, manufacturing methodologies, and bringing a product to market. Eleanor and Milo began with my desire to dip my toe into that world… and I’ll be honest… my desire to have a GIANT box of toys for my dogs.

I adore dogs. I seek joy through play and togetherness with my pups... meditative alone time... making things and solving ‘problems'... soft cuddly blankets... sunny skies & a cold brew... and observing and appreciating the beautiful world around me.

I love eating more than anything else in the whole world. But, running really really fast around my back yard is fun too. And, modeling for Eleanor and Milo is pretty good cause I get treats when I sit very very still.

Sustainable Toys for Pets and the People that love them. Find your Joy! E+M

My goal is to encourage appreciation and light-hearted play for people and their pets through well designed, one-of-a-kind, handcrafted, eco-sustainable, beautiful and rugged dog toys and dog accessories.

The toys here at Eleanor and Milo are made from organic and reclaimed materials and sewn with upholstery grade threads. I do my best to make environmentally sound choices in regard to my products creation and shipping.

My studio is a smoke and feline free environment. And, although I do not let any animals near the toys I do share my home with two lovely dogs.

I hand make each dog toy in my new little studio from either 100% organic or re-purposed and up-cycled fabrics that I find at The Scrap Exchange in Durham, NC and local thrift stores that donate to good animal causes like Cause for Paws and ReTails Thrift Shop.

I am incredibly passionate about designing and creating environmentally and socially responsible well-designed products. Each toy I make is stuffed with reclaimed fabric scraps so as to avoid the green and white fluff clouds that every dog owner knows and despises (after it is all over the living room floor) and to give the toys a little more weight and density. All of the toys are made from pretty tough materials and the main seams are reinforced for added durability. All fabric is washed with Eco-Friendly Biodegradable detergent.

I am open to trading, custom orders, comments, and suggestions! If you have any questions, suggestions, or concerns please do not hesitate to convo me!
