5 out of 5 starsThese are beautiful! My daughter was the recipient of a very generous scholarship, enabling her to attend her dream school, Syracuse University. These cards are perfect for the thank you notes she'll be sending the selection committee. The Seller was very nice!

5 out of 5 starsThe Syracuse cards are beautiful! I have ordered several college notecards from this shop as gifts for college-bound friends and relatives, as well as cat notecards. They are always a big hit! Thank you for the lovely artwork and quick shipping!

Edwin L. Green - Plein Air Painter
From childhood art has always been special, but it took a major leap of faith to turn it into more than an avocation.Years ago on a sailing trip from Bali to Cyprus I laid over for six months in Sri Lanka. A visit to a local batik shop was fascinating - the beautiful fabrics created, the simplicity of it all. I asked the owner if he would teach me how it was done. He laughed and said just come, help if you want, and you will learn. He could do more with the flat of a crayon than I ever could no matter the medium. But,there was the push I needed - the notion that perhaps I could survive as an artist.Studio classes at VCU in Richmond, VA, study at the excellent art facility of the Université of Montpellier with the world renown Musée Fabre nearby in town, countless hours in museums, and much practice set me on my way.Painting is captivating; I paint every day. I have never found anything as satisfying and nothing which held my interest for so long.Living on a sailboat for a dozen years made painting plein air a necessity;there was no room below for a real studio. I have continued to paint plein air, though I do have a studio now and more closet space than ever the accommodation aboard. You are truly lucky if you can find your passion - even luckier if you are able to pursue it.
