Hi there, I'm Elizabeta (Liz) the creator and owner behind Eli Jae and thank you for popping into my shop.

I've always loved art and anything to do with creating 'arty farty' stuff so after years of thinking about starting my own business, in 2021 I finally did it and Eli Jae was born.

Quick backstory about my business name in case you were interested to know, 'Eli' - is taken from part of my first name and 'Jae' - is the pronunciation of the first letter of my surname..makes complete sense right ?! 😊

From a young age I remember sitting in my room and just drawing things that were in my imagination or looking at cartoons in magazines, newspapers, I'd borrow books from the school Library and meticulously study the cartoons and illustrated book covers and then sketch / replicate what I saw on a bigger scale - no grid lines just straight free hand drawing and would simply get lost in my own world and I loved it.

Fast forward to many, many years later, I have continued to create art that I see in my imagination and try to explore all the different ways I can incorporate my work into various products, such as homewares and jewellery that serve not only the purpose of being original one-of-a-kind pieces, but also as functional and wearable art.

When I create anything I am back to feeling how I did as a child - happy and lost in her own world of creativity and imagination - developing, creating pieces, and coming up with new ideas for products both with and without my artwork.
